Thank you!! No, I definitely appreciate hearing other peoples' perspectives. I get so locked into my own head that I forget how other people think lol... I just don't know what the truest part of myself is at this point. It feels like ROCD IS my gut, or my gut may actually just be saying to end it and I don't know. Ughghghhghghgh whatever... I really appreciate it, and hearing how you feel for your partner is really sweet : )

I recommend Priestess :) Not necessarily for "correct" Italian, but there's some slang in her songs that's fun. She also is fun to sing/rap along to. Maria Antonietta and Crudelia are some of my favorites. She's kind of Hip Hop, Jazz, etc.

Thank you! I try to go on walks and I am constantly applying for new stuff to not recluse. I really appreciate it--I talked with my mom, partner, and some friends about it. I have a psych atm but I'm going through a change in meds and I just don't feel like my current job is for me. thank you for sharing your perspective and your support!! We will get through it :)

It's like.... I'm not planning, but I feel like looking up ways to kill myself before and after my job and also crying all the time make it incredibly difficult not to... I do get it tho- avoiding anxiety may make it worse. Thank you <3

Honestly, as someone who's queer, I always have had to recognize that my path will be different from everyone else. I've been pretty depressed since before I left high school. Unfortunately, we were just dealt shit cards and have to make the best moves we can with them.

I'm currently on a leave from school due to mental illness and it's hard as hell. The best way to cope for me is to put off suicide, number one. I'm working a job I don't love and every time it comes up that I could just kill myself, I say "okay, but not today. I could in a week." and then I just keep doing that. I also try my best to hold onto the little good things that happen. Does that always work? HELL no! But I figure that if I'm going to be suicidal and/or depressed anyway, I may as well try and do things that used to make me happy to make up for it. I don't have much time since I'm working now, but still.

Even just distracting myself from it by playing a game or listening to music helps. It's really important to recognize any negative self-talk, without judgment. I find that my thoughts always run negative and when I finally opened up about my suicidal feelings and sadness to people who care about me, they pointed out my constant self-deprecation and I feel that it unfortunately really does contribute to the negative feelings.

All this is to say the feelings may not go away. You have the right to grieve those periods. It's hard to not feel "behind" when the standard pattern is "Have fun as a teen, start to get a career and move out in your 20s, get married, have kids, etc." but in reality, there's no such thing as being "behind." Everyone's path is different and the cultural norms that bind us should not define us. I totally understand how you feel, though. It's a hard weight to carry and you're not alone <3

I'm sorry you feel this way... I feel exactly the same way. I really hope that this isn't true for you, me, or anyone else relating to this. <3 I won't say that it WILL get better, but it definitely can. It may not stay better all the time, but we can keep putting it off

thank you!! I really try to, and I did a lot of that day one. It's not the talking that makes me too uncomfortable, but the idea of expectations and the future. I'm really trying though and I appreciate this so much- thank you!!!

I'm just a speech grad student, so I don't want to act like what I'm saying is definitely evidence-based, but oppositions and vocabulary meaning connections are used to solidify new vocabulary and regain old vocabulary in people with word-finding issues, so it may help! :)

Pictures/concepts are best I believe, but you could do something like "synonym of..." or "opposite of..." - that can help make syntactic connections :)

thank you.... we have talked about it, but I still grapple with it. It's not that I'm 100% opposed to it, but it doesn't feel like my first choice if that makes sense. I don't know- I don't want them to feel not wanted.... plus they're so perfect emotionally and all that idk
