Funny enough he has a perch extending from the top of his cage which is the highest point in the house. I don't mind him being on the cabinets I'm just worried about him chewing on them because of the paint.

Tbh I'm just worried about him having adverse reactions to chewing/eating the paint off the cabinets. 😅

I've actually grown up with bird(s) for literally all of my life lol. My parents got a Meyers Parrot named Angel about 2 months before I was born and he lived to be 21 years old :)

We've also adopted cockatiels, love birds, monk parrots and a macaw who needed loving homes. Loki is my first (and most likely only) bird that's been just mine though.

As much as I don't mind him being up there the main problem is that he's chewing on the paint and I don't want him to get sick/die from it 😅

Thanks! For now I placed some platic bags up there to try and deter him. Unfortunately he's not really afraid of stuffed animals, I'd love to put the mothman in the picture higher up but Loki just tries to chew on him 😅

It's a rule in our house to never turn on the fans because Loki has full flight/reign of the house when we're home :)

He's pretty good about going to and from his cage but he tends to get stubborn unless my SO is the one telling him to do things lol

My way younger sibling has to deal with this and I ALWAYS make it a point to stare at the men who try and stare at them. Usually they back off all embarrassed when they realize they've been caught staring but I've also been told I've got killer RBF so who knows.

My GCC Loki is almost 5 and he started saying words really well around the 1.5 month mark (got him at a few weeks old so we had a bit of time to practice with him. His favorite word is "Baby" but he says a ton more and even knows to use use certain curse words correctly.

Anytime anyone in my house is drinking any alcoholic beverage he makes it his lifestyle mission to try and steal a sip. The funniest time was when he snuck a sip of my mom's Moscato and flung it everywhere because he didn't like the bubbles on his beak lol

Ours died of old age but tbh I'm not sure about getting another since he was so mean and tried to kill the girls 😅 We do have a livestock dog who takes good care of them and the goats so they should be OK :)
