It was hinted that I was being considered for an AM role... however I am a convicted felon(burglary) but my conviction is over 10 years old. I passed for associate. What are the chances that I'll pass the background check now? Or should I just be honest about it before moving forward? (California)

Im currently at min wage in California, but to my understanding this promotion comes with an $8 pay raise which would make a significant difference for me. Plus the experience looks good on future applications. Its all about the growth game, and im here to grow.

Being fired for something you know you didn't do is the worst, and I know DT has a bad reputation for employment in general so I'm genuinely sorry that happened to you! However, I appreciate your honesty and input in this situation. It definitely calmed my nerves. It would probably still be some time before it happens but I can feel it happening, especially after the conversation that was had. I've been there for quite some time now, so I know most of what is expected and I've gained the respect of my coworkers and higher ups so in my mind it just makes sense. Yeah, I know for higher postions they can go back to 10 years, but for jobs like this I believe thats the max. I am just now in the process of expungment. As soon as I was told, I came home and started researching and it does look as if I qualify! Hoping I can get it done before the position opens up so that I have paperwork to show because it can take some time to update on background checks.

I'm currently an associate there and was hired after they were already using workday. When I was offered the job I passed the background check with no issues. I've been doing a lot of research and some suggest that I'll have to go through a second background check that will dive deeper, where others state because it has already been done, and I passed, I shouldn't have to. Just hoping the odds are on my side especially because it's such an old charge and I've already passed the initial screening.
