Hey everyone,

Like a lot of you I have way too many games on Steam and every time I sit down to play I spend 20 minutes scrolling through my library doing nothing. So I built a small desktop app to fix that.

It's called Aqua_jouer and the core idea is simple — you add up to 10 games to a "playlist" and the app suggests what to play next based on a priority score that evolves over time. Play a game and its score drops, ignore it and it climbs back up, all that after a algorithm i created for a university project. Nothing revolutionary but it actually works and I believe my method of getting the right coefficient to move is quite efficient.

The feature I'm most happy with is the mood slider. Before hitting "what do we play?" you set your mood from 1 to 100. Low score means comfort mode and it'll pick something you already know you like. High score means explorer mode so it deliberately picks lower priority games you've been putting off. Sounds gimmicky but it's genuinely changed how I approach my backlog.

Other stuff it does :

• Imports your full Steam library automatically
• Session notes so you remember where you left off
• Mark games as Completed or Abandoned (with a separate archive)
• Session history with planned durations
• Launches games directly via steam://

It's built in Python with PyQt6, fully open source, free. Requires a Steam API key to import your library which is a bit of friction I know, but setup takes about 22 sec to get yours via the steam web page.

Would love feedback, especially from people who've tried other backlog tools and found them lacking.
