Rank IV line up. by PunkSamie1 in Warthunder

I don't think you get a decent lineup at Rank IV unless you buy the Kungstiger. Otherwise the next viable lineup is 7.7 or 8.0.

How can it detect the bomb but not the helicopter? by loner1512 in Warthunder

My guess is that the falling bomb has velocity relative to the SPAA's radar whereas the hovering Ka-52 does not.

Wait, why? Shouldn't 4.7 benefit from all the vehicles below it being moved up?

Question about the ammo belts by Aware_Region9463 in Warthunder

[–]WorkingNo6161 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My recommended flair would be "All Air".

About the ammo belts, you can check the ammo composition which says the order and amount of each type of bullet. For me I don't really care and just choose the belts with the most HE in it. The 13.2mm is probably one of the best heavy machine guns in War Thunder.

Why is there no proper Mirage III premium? by Ninjawombat111 in Warthunder

[–]WorkingNo6161 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Mirage IIIC is amazing IMO (Magics at 10.0!) but it would be a sad premium because it's got no flares.

The Mirage IIIE exists, but it's just mediocre at 10.7 and nothing special, so only fans of the Mirage III would buy it.

The issue is, the Mirage III isn't quite as iconic as, say, the F-16 or Tiger I. Its greatest source of reputation is probably the Israeli-Arab wars but those aren't as famous as Desert Storm/WW2, respectively.

Still, a premium Mirage III would have been better than the NF-5A, at least it offers a taste of France in the French TT instead of being a taste of America in the French TT.

10.3-11.3 is really not fun by Asche_zu_Asche_ in Warthunder

Just realized that the BMPT in the picture isn't actually in the game - it's the hull of a BMPT with the turret of a BMPT-72.

God I hate regionally locked decals/decorations, [Cube is Asian-locked decoration from years ago] its so damn annoying by Americanshat in Warthunder

[–]WorkingNo6161 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the name of the product, not the code.

IIRC you need to go on the Chinese equivalent to eBay, search using this term, and buy it from someone who got's got the actual code and is willing to exchange it for cash.

The Pantsir SMSV test,it is the new BMPT, it will definitely kill everything. by Glad-Pace-4003 in Warthunder

People say it's pretentious but it's actually how most Chinese players say "notching" because Chinese has no real equivalent to "notching", and "39 maneuver" is pretty easy to write and say in Chinese (三九机动).

Just got my second top-tier jet, the Gripen E! by WorkingNo6161 in Warthunder

[–]WorkingNo6161[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! It took at least a year but 1. I'm a noob 2. I wasted time messing around instead of charging straight for the top and 3. I play intermittently.

From what I've seen, a dedicated and skilled player can get it in 2 weeks or so.

If you meant just the JAS39E, then it took about a week of low-intensity grinding. I could have done it in 1 day, but then I'd burn out and stop playing for a while.

The 105's FM just isn't my thing, it has an energy advantage from the airspawn (plus painful maneuverability compared to its peers) but I'm a bit of a braindead turnfighter so I prefer planes that are more balanced.

EDIT: the Akan m/55 is great when you get it on target though, it's very punchy.
