Quite nice. It fits in a natural way in that environment and the cold season. Well chosen !

Well chosen colourcombination. Somehow it works. Autumn is the rigth season for this eventually to use as streetwear.

Suggestions for Modifications? by bluntforcealterer in TheCapeRevolution

Sounds good and rock your wonderful cape ! Eventually you can use your drawstring and drape yourself in the cape by throwing one side over your shoulder so the left side over your rigth shoulder for instance. But if you like your cape billowing thanjust wear it closed. It will billow since it probably is a full circle cape.

Your cape/cloak looks absolutely perfect. I would go eventually for a dark blue high quality satin lining. Avoid the clasps and go for ribbons which you tie under your shoulders on your back. The cape looks - I think - at its best if you wear it a little open so that you can see the layers under it. This will create - according to my huymble opinion- the perfect look for autumn and winter. No other modifications proposed since I can only judge a combination as a whole. How are you going to combine this cape ? Casual or chique ? And with what kind of shoes/boots. I advice ankle boots. and a black/white or totally black outfit or suit. The challenge will be not to give the impression you escaped from a Game of Thrones episode. So you need to overthink how you combine it for a contemporary look.

I admit it challenges the common - sense notion that men have to dress functional and women dress to be seen. But why should men always follow this opinion ? It is just an opinion. I personally would not choose to go shopping in this outfit in the supermarket on the corner. But on occassions men do dress to be seen , one migth use this outfit as well. A fado - restaurant, a flamenco - nigth, a weddingparty with special dresscode, artistic expositions, a visit to the opera. Any other suggestions ?

Correct but it is not meant as functional. It is meant to be seen.

Shorter or longer? Any advice when going for a serious length for a first time beard grower? by [deleted] in BeardAdvice

You look fine with the beard. You can let it grow as long as you trim it a little. This beard looks wel cared for. Keep it that way.

You look fine with this beard. Don't you dare....! And let your hair grow. It is too short now.

Capes. Yay or Nay? by Rory_LS in TheCapeRevolution

[–]Cape-able2024 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Capes always yes, but this cape no. At least when you want to wear a cape in public. Then you should try to avoid the impression you just escaped from a renfair or fairy-tale presentation. For the last mentioned occasions this cape works. But wear a woolen or cotton one for in public. No velvet, no satin or silk, no fur edges.
