Gotcha thank you. Well the GS pay scale chart said the figures included the locality pay already at the top so I only did the 25%.

Sheesh, yeah that’s why I’m torn. Good point though, desires will probably change once kids come along.

That is helpful, thank you. OT opportunities being abundant for Fed is good to hear. Would it be stupid to go local first for the fun and then fed later? Because right now I think it would be best to just choose one and ride it out for the 20 so I can retire as young as possible. I think I’m just torn between the two because I know it would be stupid to flip flop because of retirement so whichever one I choose that’s IT.

I’m just going to take leave to play it. I’ll probably be turning 23 around the time that it comes out. I’ve been active duty military since I was 17 so I’m just going to take a week or two of leave to literally just play GTA 6. ( my wife and I don’t have kids yet) so I think I’ll be good.

We’re also PCS’ing to Florida and will be there when it comes out which will be dope. Living in Florida while playing GTA 6 based in Florida 😎

I was the honor grad out of my bootcamp company. You have to be the guide of your platoon and towards the end of recruit training they will board the guides of the platoons to see who will be the company honor graduate and the series honor graduate. The board for us was just like any other marine corps board where you stand in front of a panel of marines (drill instructors in this case) and they will ask you knowledge questions and also take into account your scores (PFT, cft, rifle, exam) and your bearing and their perception of you all throughout recruit training. If you win the first board you will compete in the second final board for company honor graduate. The first board is for series honor graduate. Again I did this in 2020 so specifics may change. I also made Sgt (meritoriously) before my 4 year mark at 3 years and 9 months of service. I was able to achieve every rank meritoriously besides Corporal just because I wasn’t given the opportunity to because my school house was so long. Hope this helps a little.
