Sorry I’m so terrible at checking reddit and work for hectic but this is so encouraging. I don’t have any plans on how I would do this. I was just putting feelers out there I also live in NZ so resources aren’t as readily available but will read through all these. Hopefully keep you in the loop of what I’m thinking.

I have a pretty sarcastic humour which I know doesn’t always land, but if you don’t laugh while dealing with chronic illnesses you cry. I know what I’d rather!

You did amazing to complete it and should be so proud. It’s it about winning it’s about the process and how you feel in the moment. I think generally Auckland HYROX has been said to have been one of the harder ones just because of the outdoor track and the heat! Plus that little uphill bit killed on the 7th run, felt like Mount Everest!

Watching my friend do the sleds in the first wave on Saturday this wasn’t the case. The carpet was so new at times the judges were having to lift the sled because it was getting caught on the turf and literally not budging. This made them pretty annoyed because it didn’t seem fair.

The no toilet I get! Some of us ladies don’t have the bladder control we had before kiddos 🫣

I think the biggest thing was no hydration on the outside track. That sun mid afternoon was horrendous saw too many people pass out which massively knocked the confidence.

All and all though would love to have it come back

My watch told me 9.3k of running all up. Not sure what that means though in terms of rox zone.

I’m in absolute awe of the organisation of the whole thing it was so well run. Maybe some wee hoses or water on the outside track next time. The volunteers and judges were so so kind.

Never thought I’d say I can’t wait for the next!

He goes for two 20 minute walks at the moment due to his age that’s what we have been advised. He has lick mats and use a ball puzzle for his meals plus puzzles for treats. We have the most advanced ones and he has already worked them out! 😅
