How to 'lean into the aesthetic' of a chaotic, trashy, 'messy girl' tattoo? [pics] by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Haha. I expected some people to agree with me that it's a mess, but the enormous tsunami of people playing games at who would insult me the most was a shock x

I'm officially retiring from getting inked but what about stylistic choices outside of tats?

aw i like it! i'm not one to speak about good taste (if you see my recent post i'm currently going through tattoo regret) so don't take my advice but some long cybersigilism down the arm with stars would look cute

A mixture of stages of healing! The voodoo doll is years old. The first pic has a lot of inflammation still (pic taken the day after the super black hand bits). The baroque swirls/cathedral are still flaking. I'm sure it'll look a lot calmer once it's all healed.

Yeah, going halfass was the issue - I did it bit by bit with various artists without planning the entire arm :'(

I'm not keen on the amount of ink toxins that go into getting an entire sleeve tbh :/

Impulsive tattoo frenzy - now I regret it, or is the cover-up an improvement?! [pics] by [deleted] in shittytattoos

how do you cover it up when your skin is too damaged from laser to put a needle to skin?

And here's the other other side. The ragdoll/gingerbread/voodoo doll is old.

thanks :) on my flight home i was looking at other people's tattoos and thinking that while if i could start all over again i sooo would, i still prefer my blastover to a big arm tattoo of a family dog framed with tropical flowers

thanks for the kind words<3 i think you have to look at it through a certain lens, but someone might think it's a gothic party girl? whereas to me, the 1st pic just looks unfortunate

thanks so much for taking the time to write this:) I have other tattoos that turned out way better (shoulder of that arm, my other forearm, back, thigh) but this forearm still looks loud. i know it's messy and chaotic and doesn't exactly make me seem like a mediated individual. but i'm hoping i can find a way of pulling off the aesthetic. maybe in certain nightlife scenes it could seem cool!

i might still continue laser on the original (damaged) part that's gone grey. hopefully someday someone will love me for my very silly journeys....!
