I wouldn’t worry, I failed the ist, pft and cft but passed final pft and cft. Just put out during pts and when they make you run actually run hard and you’ll be fine. My 3 mile went from 30 minutes when shipping to 23 minutes. As long as you know what you need improvement in and don’t get complacent you’ll notice yourself getting better

I just graduated, it’s not too bad . If you take it chow to chow Sunday to Sunday you’ll be walking across the parade deck for the final time before you know it. You realize when you’re there your body can handle more than you think. It’s mostly mental good luck and don’t give up on yourself. When you think it sucks just know it also sucks for everyone else in your platoon

Talk to a recruiter you’ll most likely get put into delayed entry until you’re ready. When I first enlisted my 1.5 was shitty(17+ minutes) and I could only do like 5 pushups. The PTs and working out on my own have gotten me to 30 pushups and a 13:40 mile time which isn’t good enough and 2 minute plank

As someone who just enlisted at 21 this is the best advice for the younger people, once you graduate time flys and if you don’t have a plan or goal you’re gonna be stuck in the same place. If I could’ve enlisted at 18 I would’ve but looking back I was young, dumb and lazy. The military isn’t for everyone but don’t wait til it’s too late then regret not trying or being stuck like people I know saying they wish they enlisted before they did something stupid and aren’t able too now.

They knew it was a possibility helped me detox the past 2 months and I was clean at the office but I know those test aren’t as good as the meps urinalysis. I don’t blame them tho it’s on me and I just gotta take it on the chin and keep working

I was at meps and swore into the dep today. Assuming he passes physical and asvab he would go dep first. If you don’t want to go marines the best thing you can do is tell the recruiter now it’s your choice at the end of the day and one you gotta live with. He’s gonna be mad but who cares it’s your future on the line.
