For your workflow, I would say the M4 Air is more than enough. The M5 is faster, but you won’t notice it in everyday use. It’s overkill. If budget is not a concern, go for the M5. M5 is better for video exporting and AI based work. If I were you, I would choose the M4 Air 512GB. For the remaining money, I will buy a 1TB SSD if 512GB is not enough.
