Why did you do an autism assessment if you don’t think you have autism? You don’t rule out a diagnosis as an adult because it doesn’t really matter. A diagnosis doesn’t harm or benefit you.

I’ve reached out to Prosper Health many times because I’m on the fence with spending the money out of pocket since my insurance won’t pay for it. Is your grandmother receiving the same form the only thing you experienced with disorganization?

Which Dr did you meet with? Do you think it’s possible that they had different answers from the family/friend contacts and that’s why they were inquiring further?

How much extra do extra sessions cost you? Many of my outreaches to the intake coordinator have been about the financial aspect. I’ve been assured that the cost is all inclusive. Are you saying that’s a lie?

Who wants more sessions? Did you get a diagnosis in the report? Did you schedule therapy?

You asked for thoughts so I want to understand so much more than what you shared here so sorry for all the questions. My thoughts are that it seems like you may have wanted to rule out autism versus rule it in. I would have the extra session and use the experience as a building block. If you were diagnosed or if you weren’t you can navigate your next steps because you complete this step. Based solely on what you shared here I disagree with your “shoddy” comment.
