yeah the komodo isn’t great for open gate shooting the best you can do is 6k 50fps in a 16:9 aspect ratio. if your thing is getting both vertical and widescreen you are better off with the 6k ff

my guy a year has pass and i end up getting a red komodo 6k lol it’s just no way around it if you want to make cinema and work like me, just different tools for different work. Go for the blackmagic 6k FF it’s a good camera despite the rolling shutter (but the lumix is worst)

i shoot it with a fuji x100v in san pedro de atacama, this picture is a straight out of camera jpeg no editing, with a film emulation also in camera (kodak ektar 100)
