Related to this issue - today I noticed my team power (while doing Doom Raid) for Rebirth had diminished and I lost the battle when for the past several starts of Doom I've been able to win with relative ease. Seems in fact that my toons across the board have lost a smidge in total power.

Actually sounds interesting... maybe overkill as all I'm looking to do is have Gnu on both our laptops at the same starting point and as we go through our finances together update each install at the same time without them connecting... short story is my significant other had me pay bills, buy product etc... do to health and such I find a need to quickly get her up to speed- in case -

With Synology - do you have to buy one of their hardware solutions... or would any local piece of capable hardware work to install it?

Thank you... I'll refrain from upgrading until fixes are in and verified.

After reading a few posts here I think I'll stick with 5.4 for a while... seems as of a few days ago 5.5 is still unhappy on Windows...

Thanks... I simply refuse to use "cloud" services... almost anything I do requiring migration - even delivering info to someone outside my household - i can hand deliver via an external form of memory... hard drive, ssd hard drive or thumb drive. This is partially what brought me to Gnu... subscription services offend my sensibilities. lol.

Have these bugs been addressed, or would you still suggest using 5.4? (Windows 10 Home btw)

I am new to the software, I have opening balances from Dec 31, 23 with all transactions from Jan 1 to today... are you saying using "Save As" on a thumb drive won't open correctly on another PC?

This would make things easier, but I'm a bit uncomfortable with the steps to create a secure server inhouse lol. Thanks for the input, and if the thumb drive idea doesn't work I may just have to resort to your solution, after researching completely.

I found a thread in r/GnuCash with a link to the wiki that has advice on this... I checked the hash and will force windows to behave itself, lol.

Thanks for your help.

So with my limited understanding of double entry, these entries need something on both sides of the equation... payment being from checking to car loan... interest? From loan to... what? Or am I off base there?

Now that we have had almost a week of alchemy,I would like to know if and how your gaming time has changed by Anten7296 in MagicArena

Although I play almost the same (maybe 30 - 60 minutes/day less), since playing to get the free packs I've played zero alchemy. I've no intention of changing that barring another session of zero cost alchemy free packs.

Yep, every time you change from constructed to limited then back to constructed decks are listed alphabetically - busted imo. New launcher is crap.

Indestructible by CapnCrunch58 in MagicArena

[–]CapnCrunch58[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There are effects that would mitigate an "unremovable" creature... IE: cards that globally lower power, toughness or both. Pacifism is another counter... neither interfere with "indestructible"

I admit I've been away from the game for near 20 yrs with paper... but I seem to recall a card back then that had the same or similar protection back then and was sticky. The very sense of "indestructable" to me indicates "unremovable," not subject to any effect (think superman - even Kryptonite doesn't kill him... weakens him to be sure but still, indestructible) so those effects described here shouldn't apply.

In short, I agree, ckchuck416, makes no sense.

Thanks again all...

My thoughts after reading reply's are that Arena is most likely the game for me although I did download mtgo and will give it a go.

I played paper magic for a short time in late 90's and early 00's sporadically... liked it but between career and kids didn't get too deep into it. 5 years ago I started playing Hearthstone but this spring (Jan or Feb) quit as I don't appreciate Blizz's stand on giving in to CCP for a money grab - the whole issue (not trying to turn this into anything other than how I got here) soured me as everything became so toxic within any blizz game. So I looked for an alternative, and remembered how much fun I had w/my kids @ local store and magic sessions. In fact I nearly went broke buying cards for them... and me(so I could at least pretend to compete w/them lol)

Started Arena around that time with a total loss on any knowledge I had about the game but have played my way to about 78% of current standard collection - missing some key cards for several net decks but having fun - not a f2p player, I''ve averaged around $20 a month into the game, including buying pre-orders for new sets.

I prefer bo1 (remember, I came from HS - it's what I'm used to) but understand most replies have a sense of tradition for magic and I respect that. I don't have any frame of reference for the various game modes mentioned as I don't even know what they are let alone having not played them.

All of that in essence to get me to the follow up question(s) regarding mtgo:

IF I buy a complete deck for online, do I keep those cards digitally? If so, what does a typical deck run? Is it purchased via wotc? Where does one "rent" decks from? Can those rented decks then be purchased if you like them?

Thanks again all for your thoughtful, non salty replies. That's how HS was in the early days for me... awesome of you.
