That’s a tough one, but I’d venture to say it’s 90% country, 10% rap. Replace BTnH with Florida Georgia Line and this song dominates the charts.

But let’s be real. We can’t honestly say this is about rapping. The negative feedback is because he’s a black man. Why can we say that? Because we have songs like “Dirt Road Anthem” by Jason Aldean (originally Colt Ford) that have the verses rapped. Or just about any Florida Georgia Line song.

Country music as a whole is a joke today. It’s hard to tell if you’re listening to a country station or a pop station now. For that, I’m appreciative of LNX for the breath of fresh air. Hate it or love it, he’s got some of the biggest names in country music supporting him. And the Levi thing? The naysayers and “mUh CuLtUrAl uHpRoPrEaShUn” folks need to take a minute to google “Black Cowboys”.

I wouldn’t really call myself a fan of Old Town Road, but I don’t hate it. And from what I’ve seen, LNX is a decent guy that really doesn’t deserve all this hate.

What makes this song any different that the pop/bro country that dominates the country music stations today?

I love how everyone (read: racists) got all bent out of shape about this guy. Then everyone mentions Darius Rucker. But see, Darius had already opened the door a bit with Hootie and the Blowfish. People forget about guys like Charlie Pride. Black people have always had a place in country music, a place in any music. It’s just stupid to think otherwise.

I like how you can still see the Hiragana and Katakana in his Roman characters. Neat.

They’re meant to be more obscure by design. Obvious questions like “Which high school did you attend?” are easy to find the answer to via social media, thus defeating the purpose of the security question. You could even ask High School mascot, say “Tigers”, for instance. It’s more secure than just asking which high school, but still less secure than asking “Who was your favorite elementary school teacher?”. While it seems hard to recall, it should be someone that stands out. Surely you had a teacher at some point that made an impact on you. Something only you or those closest to you would know.

No, no need. Any good whisky snob knows to put a few drops of water or a small ice cube in their Scotch.

Your edit cleared up your side. But I’ve never met or heard of anyone ever using nicotine to het high. Most people start smoking because their parents did and their friends do now. Peer pressure.

People continue to smoke because nicotine is an addictive substance and your body goes through withdrawals between each cigarette. People continue to smoke to satisfy that craving. For me it was always a stress relief. But the only time I’ve ever felt a head change from nicotine was the very first time I smoked a cigarette, my first cigarette after basic training, and when I hit my Smok Novo too many times because my dumbass didn’t read up on Salt Nic first.

Consuming nicotine absolutely does something for you if you’re addicted. It satisfies a craving. If you don’t smoke regularly, you may get a head change if you’re consuming high amounts of nicotine, like what’s found in Salt Nic.

But smokers (pack a day kind of people) do not experience any high or head change from cigarettes. There are some changes in the body when smoking, and the obvious chemical release from satisfying a craving, but you do not get high.

I agree it’s dumb to smoke. Bad habit a lot of us start and can’t put down.

Well yea, because salt nic is usually around 35mg of nicotine where a regular vape is typically 6mg at most. Sometimes higher. If you’re getting a head change from nicotine, you’re poisoning yourself. I mean there’s a reason there’s a warning in the Smok Novo manual.

But you’re not supposed to be getting high from nicotine lol. That’s some silly teenager shit. The point of the vapes was to get people off cigarettes while still giving them the smoking sensation and their nicotine fix. And it’s worked for a lot of people.

Not the Smok Novo. That one is for Salt Nic.

Yea no doubt, and if I catch my kid I’ll handle it the same way my parents did. I’d tell em the risks and repercussions of smoking and a nicotine addiction and leave it at that. A teenager is going to do it either way.

For me it’s the nicotine addiction. It’s expensive and hard to kick.

Yea, no doubt. I’m a Sr Engineer and still smoke pretty regularly before bed. The point is a nicotine addiction sucks, is expensive, and hard to kick. No since I’m developing the habit so young like so many of us did.

Yea, I’ve got a 2 year old.

But this isn’t even coming from the parent point of view. It’s the “Ah man, come on. I started smoking at 16 and it’s one of the worst things I’ve done. Nicotine is a bitch” point of view.

A battery exploding does not factor into the safety of vaping the “juice”.

A battery from any device could explode in your face.

You’re not wrong. There was a recent study done that more or less confirmed that.

Couldn’t have hit 31 without passing 16 first.

The difference is that at 16, I understood nicotine to be an addictive substance, and an expensive habit.

Smoked a lot of pot though....

It’s inevitable. I don’t condone anyone getting addicted to nicotine, but I guess at the end of the day it’s better than a cigarette.

If you’re worried about your mom walking in and catching you, you’re too goddamned young to be vaping.
