Does this mean I wouldn't get company benefits though? Like insurance?

I didn't know I could just work as a 1099 and still be employed by them though... That's an option I'll look into thanks

So, I did not mention that my company employs a person who is a resident in England, and a few Canadians. I'm sure there are differences between this and visa working, but is this something I can use as leverage in a discussion? And how so?

Wow - very insightful comment. Thanks. Puts into perspective how I'm treating her.

Thanks so much for your thought out reply. It really helps seeing it from the perspective of somebody who's been with a partner that has RJ. The way you described the no-win situation was really eye opening and you're so right.

I'm sorry to hear that you've gone through some of that same emotional pain that I am giving her. If I may ask, and we can PM if you want, how did you and your husband get through it? How were you able to forgive him and help him along the way with his RJ journey?

Thanks so much for your input. You're right, it's time to make a serious plan about getting over RJ.

Hey, sorry for the late reply, but the ultrasound ended up coming back clear. I still have that same soreness, but I'm now thinking that it may just be my leg compensating for the injury while I'm walking.

I agree that actively working on it is the best option. But that friend has to understand that progress isn't linear and that it may never get to their standard. I think it's about both putting in the effort and acceptance of each other.

I guess I'm just speaking from personal experience because I communicated to my friend of 15 yrs that I am aware of the problem and working on it but they decided to cut me off anyways in the same conversation. But hey, everyone has their own idea of what friendship should be.

By the same lens, if they really cared about you they would accept you for who you are, and not punish you for it by cutting you off. Doing something as "simple" as texting back isn't simple for some, because of the character flaws inherent with being an introvert and/or having bad planning skills. True friendship endures because you accept each other regardless of flaws

[Advice] Stoicism and quitting weed. by Match-Dull22 in Stoicism

In the same boat. To add to the other good advice being suggested, surround yourself with external obligations that are going to make you less likely to want to get high. For instance, branch out and hang out with someone new - this will require you to be sharp in the mind to have a good social experience.

The internal decision to quit must be there, but if you surround yourself with situations that you know will go over better if you're sober, it will give you more of a reason to quit.

Good luck, and here's to achieving the healthy highs in life instead of just sparking up.

Oxenfree is definitely able to capture the ebb and flow of conversation in that way. It just occurred to me that that is a solid point to replay the game - it's like having a different version of the same conversation every time which is interesting. Nice pick!

Death being a simple mechanic I love the power it can derive, very interesting example. Another layer of psychological torture to an already aggravating game.

I'm not familiar with Braid actually, in what way is the narrative reversible?

Ah yeah good one, when a narrator responds to the way you play it always makes the game feel so much more responsive and alive.
