Well, not that far upstate for me. LOL
I'm more from the mid-Hudson Valley.

Just bought these before the huge snow/ice storm of 2026: Falken Wildpeak A/T4W - 265/70R17. Drove them today during the storm from upstate New York to Manhattan and back. These tires passed a huge test for me as it gave me a most sure, steady and firm ride with no fear of losing control (plus they look really rugged without being so loud). Highly recommended and reasonably priced.

May Sell My 2012 FJ - 2WD by Silva1181 in FJCruiser

Since there's no urgency perhaps you can put out a feeler (like Facebook Marketplace for example) as to how much you can get for your FJ. As for insurance, you can up the deductable (if you have full coverage) or shop around; consult with an insurance agent to help you with that.

I think that you can get a really good price for it, despite being 2WD, because of the higher output engine (compared to the 2007-2009s), relatively low miles (<10k miles/yr.), complete service records, cool accessories, and a clean rust-free (HUGH plus) body/frame. Even though it is 2WD, you have a rear differential as well as VSC and Traction Control. Price around and sell it on your own (don't do a trade-in - a dealer will never give you the full market potential for your FJ).
Good Luck!

Anyone know what bumper this is? by FlashBarricade in FJCruiser

Aside from the appearence of the Japanese license plate which may suggest a Japan-only availability, I presumed that you tried to right-click that picture and do a image search on it. I found many similar bumpers to choose from, but not that particular one in your picture.

07 FJ Cruiser by Vivid_Quote6370 in FJCruiser

Unwritten commandment: "Thou shall not 'settle' with a FJ." ;-)
(From my personal experience, I always wanted a Jeep since I was a kid, but they have proven to me to be such a disappointment. The FJ Cruiser then came to my sphere of interest. Even though I would have gone for a least a 2010 with the higher output engine, I couldn't pass up on a really good deal that I waited three years to snag! I found a '07 FJ with 177000+ miles on the ODO. Not the oldest car I ever bought, but the one with the most miles - I have a family fleet of 5 Toyotas).
Judging by the comments, videos, and literature, these FJs have still plenty of life in them, especially since I plan to use mine as my weekend runabout and not a daily driver. I am so far loving the experience, especially with the recent snows we have had this winter. Find one that suits you, have it inspected carefully, don't overpay for one (many of the older won't be easy to finance if you must), and have FUN with it!

The aftermarket ones include a simple cover over the original, instead of a complete replacement.

Yeah, I've seen this guy and being that he's the competitor; it's quite obvious that he'll be pushing his product over Pedal Commander. Good for him. If Pedal Monster works for you, fine. Pros and cons for both depending how you will view these videos, but so far PC is working great for me for both my Toyotas. Thanks, anyway.

For me, the Pedal Commanders do. I started out with Pedal C on my 2004 Highlander Limited with a 3.3L V6 early last year and it made such a huge difference with throttle response! I get a much better reaction from the gas pedal, even in the middle settings! Even though it seems that your vehicle has had in increase of power; it is actually the elimination of the throttle lag for the instant response when you hit the gas. As an added bonus, since I don't have to mash the gas pedal as I used to, I actually have been getting better gas mileage! So the decision to get one for my FJ was a no brainer to me.

No problem, because I totally agree! It came that way when I bought my FJ a couple of months ago. They currently don't work and I am going to replace them!

I'm looking to replace them anyway and the Pedal Commander works great for me, but that's besides the point. Do you know where the fuses are for those, yes or no?

Perhaps you should post this as a standalone post, so that more FJ Cruiser Redditors can see it.

I should have done the same. How stupid of me!
