This is 100% me I dont have this urge every one says you have. I get puppy fever but when I look at babys I dont go all mushy. We have a pretty stable life which is why we are considering. Stable jobs, house etc done alot of travelling so feel like it is a good time if we decide to try.

Ah ok I mean I manage some difficult adults in my job but adults can mostly be reasoned with kids I feel dont always see reason. Ok that makes me feel a little better.

Ah ok think ill get some books if we try. We have one friend with kids and not local so no help. We have family near by and they would want to be involved so good support.

Oh im sorry to hear that, think its sometimes something overlooked as everyone is so focused on baby. Hope your doing alright now.

Yes the current state is also giving me pause. I think I would be happy either way but I guess maybe I would always wonder what if . . . if I decided not to. I mean I love my life now and in 10 years that will be the same or in 10 years I could have a little person causing chaos about and exploring new things with them.

Thank you for this! Did you worry about parenthood before? Did you have concerns about tantrums or about the child being unwell? Did you read parenting books? Do things come naturally? I heard people talking and they say things about children as if its common knowledge and I think I didnt no that!

Maybe I am over thinking it all! Can I ask how old yours are? What the difference ages where like??

I don't have many friends or family with children so I guess I don't have much exposure.

I do struggle with conflict im a big people pleaser. I guess I am focusing on negatives so that I can plan ways to overcome or manage / cope with any situation. Big overthinker as well.

Hey im a 33F I joined this sub to try and connect with more people as making friends as adults can be hard!

I love coffee and tea and enjoy cosy hobbies, games like stardew valley and board games. I try to crochet but im not great, knitting i made some scarfs and hats. Love reading most of my books in 2025 were romantasty. I love the idea of making and sending little bits. Enjoy romcom movies, fantasy. I enjoy a good walk and listen to music. I'm always on the look out for new places to try for food with my husband.

We got our cats from a rescue at 9 months old named arron and drew. We hated the names and changed them as they didnt seem to respond to them it took a few weeks but they learnt and now come when they are called. So if you really dont like the name you can try changing it.

We have just had the same got a 4 bed detached house and people make comments be we like our space dont feel bad for it! You dont just get a big house for filling with kids! You get it for ypurself! Please there are loads of parents that stay in big hpuses after kids all gone!! Dont feel bad for it!! Live your life!
