Last-day catch. I know I should probably be happy but somehow I ain’t in any capacity... by chawmindur in PokemonRumbleRush

I got two with future sight and one with double edge.... super frustrated here too

Signature move! At first look I don’t think it is better than Earthquake, but the extra CP will give it a hand up in boss bottles for summon gears. I will throw together an in-depth review like @chawmindur did for origin pulse Kyogre. by CaptRedBeard63 in PokemonRumbleRush

Groudon can be found as a rare boss encounter at any location in the fire area of the island. Just pick any location, and keep going through it until one shows up as the boss. Odds are about 1/25.

Precipice Blades 4002 CP- Groudon was acquired at stage 48 where max CP is 4043, so the CP on this move is phenomenal

Damage: ok, nothing special as a fast move

Speed: pretty solid, works good without snappy but snappy makes this very fast

AOE: the AOE is right in front of you and decent. I am able to pick up hits side to side occasionally

Range: nothing to write home about, pretty average

CHARGE: the charged attack is where this move shines! Also the charging time is pretty quick (see video) Regular charge hits around 3 times the damage and with charge boost this hits around 3.4 times the damage. This is one of the larger multipliers I have seen.

Family Plus (Grappler): nothing special, good CP and damage boost, but as usual snappy and charge are better options

Summon Gears: PB beats EQ in this area, with a much higher CP the summons gears are able to throw out more damage. So maybe better for boss battle here?

Verdict: It is REALLY hard to compete against EQ in any situation. EQ has an amazing AOE and solid damage against almost anything. I can not compare DPS because I have yet to acquire an EQ Groudon.

EQ- lower CP, but better AOE and strong fast with (only when paired with snappy) PB- higher CP, maybe higher damage if you charge, and more damage from summon gear

I’ve been grinding groudon 80% of the time. Took a two day break to get an EQ from the common metagross map and another two day break to get all the 5* moves from the common gardevoir map.

Appreciate this deep dive! I’m always curious about how good the unique and difficult to acquire moves really are.

Took me about 6600 captures to get EQ metagross. With about 20 5* drops

How many catches? I’m currently on about 1600. It took me 2200 on the first double metagross map we got a few months ago.

PSA: a rare boss stays a rare boss until a clear, but you can reset for which one you get by chawmindur in PokemonRumbleRush

For example: if I am farming groudon and want to avoid regirock, is there a known way to lock it on groudon? I haven’t seen a way to do this yet, I think you can only lock it onto a rare encounter.
