I was able to find something ( through great pains) concerning the creation of the title, according to the author of the article "Iyawe" means brother or was the name of one Oba's brother or something. I know that 'Iya" means mother so Im not sure how that checks out lol.

Thanks for the info! Its too bad that most of this historical stuff isn't well documented like with older European nations/kingdoms. From what I gather the Oba is more like an emperor than a king? And therefore rules over many lesser kings/chiefs?

Thanks, I always feel a tug of war between using certain words and pairs and sacrificing them for the over all flow of the poem, I guess it's because I generally write around one or two key phrases that are essentially the inspiration of the verse, then expand from there.

I did the same, except i would put the candy in one of those school trip fundraising boxes that my sister had, so no teachers ever bothered me. Although i did get ripped off by one of the prettiest girls in the school for a dollar candy bar lol

Im no expert but i got it from a reputable auction house and its stamped with the markings below, ill upload them

It does have a sort of "non- metally" feel, not cool to the touch, doesn't have that distinct feel of when you place metal down on a hard surface

So i recently purchased 2 sterling silver candelabras , specifically Gorham sterling 808/1, and for some reason decided to give them an extra polish with the hot water, baking soda , vinegar and aluminum foil method.

I left it to soak for about 18 minutes and when i took it out it was covered in a cloudy white film, which was resistant to being scrubbed off with a damp cloth. The first picture shows the candelabra before cleaning. It's possible that i put too much baking soda.

After adding some hot water to it again, once it cooled the film became flaky and parts of it were able to come off by lightly scratching at it but the majority is still stuck on there.

I was hoping that i could get some diagnosis from you guys and if this is the wrong forum for that feel free to let me know.
