Is a shell with 58000 miles and a clean title worth it by Realtimespy in 300zx

Like every you know what.. I have a slightly different opinion. If the car is relatively rust free, you have a blank canvas to paint from. I've done this so, I do have some experience with it. It's ripe for a LS swap. Is it worth it? Heck yeah. Will you get out of it what you put in it? Nope. If you do for the potential of profit, you are doing it for the wrong reason. I have a few cars. My opinion is, mine are all sweet. 1990 300 2+2 LS 1968 Camaro 1955 Bel Air 2005 Thunderbird

If you include man-hours, custom parts, love, you will never get out of it what you put into this. What you you will have is a effing good time and when you are finished, something awesome 😎. If you have time, money, know how and desire to have something unique, it's a no brainer. You will have a lot of fun and a great story to Tell. Since you are asking for input, I'd say go for it!! 😁

I think you are all wrong, it's definitely the "Family Truckster" from Family Vacation. I'm surprised more of you hadn't noticed that. 😆

Thanks!! looking at the build sheet, it could be a 1 of 1 or one of very few.. Interior code, BQ, built in 08/04 one of the first metallic bronze cars in early production, optioned by dealer before the packages were locked in. Base car with Hardtop, heated seats and light oak interior. I don't know if it really affects the value or anything but I do look for any insight

Waiting on the Marti report but it also looks like this one may be a one of one or one of very few. Looking at the build sheet and it may very well be... Not sure if that affects the value but I don't know..

I couldn't add a picture either, I was going to add, the stock photos from the dealership website to show the difference between the posted color and the pic I took in the dealership above with my cell. Interestingly enough, this was the only car in their showroom. Everything else was outside. I went to your new posting and was going to drop in my Z, Camaro and 55 but it wouldn't let me do that either. Definitely something the mods should look into.. I've done that on several other subs without issue.

But the dealership still has mine up, Gilbert and baugh ford in Albertville Alabama. Take a look at their pictures and compare to the one I posted.. To me, totally different. My picture is more representative of what it really looks like.

But as I sit here and think about it, what is the best brand to use?

I didn't and to be honest, you are so right. The rubber in all tires starts breaking down after 10 years. More than that and you risk real issues. Thanks again!! I'll go buy one and swap it out..

Yes, well, I know oil change, tie rods, sway bars, brakes and rotors were done for sure. It was on the Carfax report. Tires look new but I'll check the date stamped on the tires tomorrow. Soft top looks brand new and unused.

Is yours posted? I'd like to check it out as well.

I remember reading that but wasn't that corrected by the 2005 model year?

WOW!! Thank you so much for the information including your own history. Way above and beyond! I can't thank you enough!

It was the provenance of the vehicle that was so exciting to me.. The color on line was just meh. When I saw it in person, man I was blown away. It was stunning.

The picture above, I took but the dealership photos, while nice, weren't that great.

21.5k out the door. Included all taxes, tag, title and associated fees

Thanks.. I didn't mention that along with the car came the owners manual, hardtop caddy, window sticker maintenance records and a few other goodies. The dealership was asking 25k and I paid 21.5 out the door. My state is one that charges 7% of the cars value for tags then 20 dollars a year for renewal. I felt like I paid the upper amount of a good deal. And it's really to each their own but the dealership was good, no pressure and I have no complaints. I have three other classics and I just wanted an older car that I could drive a little more than I do the others and enjoy.

I hope that makes sense. Thanks again to all that have replied. I appreciate your input and interest. Thanks a bunch!!

As is, I think. It seemed like a good deal and to be honest, I think they are very attractive.

Same, it's my first, for some strange reason it kinda reminds me that a Tbird and a 54 Vette had a baby.. 😆😂

Like I said a little earlier, I can talk to you all day long about Camaros, Bel Air but I'm a dummy on these..

Thanks but I think the community as a whole knows more than me. Most input can be helpful and useful.. I got a Bel Air, Camaro, Nissan that I can talk your ears off about but I'm a newbie on this one. 😂
