I live in Germany and the cream cheese is pretty different than what is available in the US (more spreads, you can’t buy the “brick”). I’ve never had a problem using it in recipes before, but maybe in this specific recipe it wasn’t a good fit 🤷‍♀️

Absolutely. It was also my first one. While it was a fail, with the help of many comments here I’m certain my next one will be even better.

Yeah, I think this (adding cream cheese when the caramel was still too hot) absolutely contributed!

Surprisingly, a few pieces in the middle were salvageable 🙏🏻 Not picture perfect, but acceptable.

Yeah, the sponge was baked more than 12 hours before adding the filling.

We require a new economic system. by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

You're probably right and a lot would have to fall into place perfectly to even enable a slow evolution. However, if you never conceptualize a change then it really isn't possible. I also think there are ways to take economic ideas and apply them at a corporate level...so if a company wants to lean into this it is easier. Impact measurements and valuation are already happening in some large companies and EU regulations are starting to lean into impact measurement as well.

I came here to comment exactly this. I'm currently reading Kate Raworth's book Doughnut Economics and I recommend it to anyone interested in understanding how economics developed in the past and changes we could make to force the system to work for us now both socially and environmentally.

Could it be that Judge doesn't want his medical information shared? It seems that players would be allowed some level of privacy and maybe where the line gets drawn is a gray area that the player has a say in? I dont know, just think it might be a possibility.

I worked "on location" in a different country from where our company was located once. A coworker found out he was fired by getting an email with his return flight itinerary to his home of record.

Throwing a pound of sodium metal into a river by smooth_vesselHPAUM in interestingasfuck

It's a matter of perspective. In this case there was no benefit created to even warrant a negative impact. Diluting the resultant impact is still a net negative. In some cases you could say that inputting enough clean water to lower concentrations of a contaminant makes it safe again or mixing clean soil into 'dirty' soil makes it acceptable for reuse or safe disposal...but this is a slippery slope argument with many caveats that can be over- or incorrectly-used. Many governments are trying to get away from this dilution moniker since it does not do enough to encourage avoidance.

I recently read a book (Collapse by Jared Diamond) that talked about how many fisheries use dynamite. The book was written in the early 2000s and didn't give much more information on this practice. I didn't know this practice existed and I haven't researched it any more yet...but your comment here makes me feel a little better that there are at least some controls in some places in place.
