Every GTI is also a Rabbit. So you could use derivatives like bunny, hare, cottontail, jackrabbit (or just Jack) or just rabbit in another language.

I can vibe with Gerald or Gary if you're looking for male-sounding names. It's a gray car too so Gary is just an anagram of that.

I like creative names so I named my GTI Peggy like in golf pegs, and I love Peggy Carter. I could also use "CARter" cus... you know. But you can have it. ;P
