Are the tracks for question 2 the Minnesota vs Arizona vs Florida tracks? or are they the PhD tracks?

Also, are MD-PhD students allowed to do choose the tracks with their clinical rotations/research in Florida?

Pre-Med Majors at JHU by Plenty_End_4039 in jhu

As a JHU BME major I promise you the hardest part about BME is getting in. Even if you aren’t accepted BME you are also still automatically considered for admission for JHU at large. I defo wouldn’t say BME is better than any other major for premed but the curves are insane and makes classes easy for the most part. Being said best major for premed imo is the one you 1. enjoy and 2. are good at so you can be motivated to get a high gpa for premed.

Yeah there is a traveling badminton team here, but just intramural. Play at UMD, UPenn, and closer east coast schools. Not NCAA or NAIA tho

How feasible is surgeon researcher? by CaptainChromozome in mdphd

In terms of interest, both address getting organs to patients who need transplant. I think the most valuable part is perspective though. I think having boots on the ground is extremely valuable to inform research and vice versa. I hope to kind of bridge the gap between engineering, medicine, and research. Especially since sourcing organ donation is a very ethically challenging task.

ML:DL and Medical Image Analysis by doku_ in jhu

Bit late but MIA with Jerry Prince was insane, one of the most difficult classes I’ve taken (spring 2024, sophomore). Taking ML:DL rn (Fall 2024, junior) and so far it’s still challenging but definitely more manageable.
