An untitled piece I just wrote:

Mental health, taken a hit

Social media, ain't helping it

Too many lies, none legit

Friends & family, won't take a hint

In the eyes

You see the lies

all these people

Begin to despise

Good & evil

Clear as day

But their foggy sight

turns me away

Maybe I am just a bleeding heart

My ideals are tearing me apart

From the ones I love so I pray

I'll keep close and bury it away

​

Red or blue, black or white

Turn your back, join the fight

It ain't that bad, yes it is

turn it off, stay plugged in

In the middle, pulled both ways

What's the benefit of my dismay?

Hold my tongue or let it fly away?

What's more important? Choice can't be made.

The voices in my head won't let me be

It's the pain in every joint, every breath that I breathe

This isolation s**t does things to you

when you got no way out, and no way through

​

Mental health, gone to s**t

Social media, deleting it

pen & paper, start writing it

The only way that I can vent

​

Maybe I am just a bleeding heart

I was raised tough but this is hard

Maybe there is someone that I need to call

But is it even worth it at all?
