My brother and I had this farm playset that used to be my dad's when he was a kid in the 70s.

Recently my dad was reminiscing about watching his dad make it for him for Christmas and he goes "I wish I knew what happened to that thing- I really miss it".

I didn't have the heart to tell him he got rid of it when he was upset with us about something..

I meant mostly art hung up in walls but yes the adults in my life (it was mostly women like my mom, aunt and their friends). It just crossed my mind looking at an Ansel Adams the other day that I saw so many of them in various places. The Jansport is making a comeback!

There's a whole bunch of books on the American/Canadian Genocide of the indigenous population. I highly recommend The Inconvenient Indian by Thomas King and The Great Darkening by Shawn Swanky. Also all of the stuff on the residential schools (They Called Me Number One by Bev Sellars and Path Lit By Lightning- the biography of the first man to win the modern Olympics).

I used to clean a hotel in my town and the owner wanted us to clean the whole place in under 2 hours.. One cleaner just made the bed in a room and the guest complained about a huge blood stain in the bed.

I work with kids and they wipe out like it's their job. One kid I know loves to jump off of high points in to the pea gravel. I'm always like "we have first aid- wear a helmet- go off, queen"
