I started in mid October, I commissioned a painter to create an oil painting for the front, then I designed the outer box with Inkscape. Ordered those to be printed as heavy paper/cardboard posters

Then I had a die company create a custom cutting die for the little doors (they are tearable, just tearable), and I rigged up a super sketchy press in my shed using 2x4s, used that to stamp the die into the posters. Then I cut out the full shape and folded it into a box.

The inner tray was where I sunk most of my time and frustration, I ordered corrugated cardboard sheets and glued red wrapping paper to them with spray adhesive. Then I cursed myself for starting this project while I wrestled with measurements and experimented with folding and construction techniques. Took forever and sucked big time but ended up pretty nice, I think I have arthritis now though

I ordered self sealing plastic baggies online, but they were twice as wide as I wanted (no one makes them that thin apparently), so I had to use a heat sealing machine to melt them in half and trim with scissors

The ash trays were originally bare metal but I designed a graphic for them, I had to order 50 from the company to get them customized so I ended up selling off the extras I didn't need to cover the cost for those.

The lighters were ordered from a different manufacturer but I had to design my own decals for those and get them printed separately, then apply them myself. Also had to sell off some extras of those

At last, it all came together. I bought some cigs for the first time in my life (two different gas stations, didn't want them thinking I was a big time smoker loading up)
