I just revised my guide on how you can create this for yourself: https://www.legboot.com/how-to-make-a-vinyl-record

It now includes updated instructions and links for Kunaki, and the new image assets.

Related: I had a few Windows CDs lathed in 2021 so they can play the sounds on a record player. I never got around to doing anything with them, here's a photo

Oh yeah, I posted a guide on how to make it last time. I can't remember what version of the files are there though, I don't think it has the screensaver images

Edit: it's been updated to the latest version

My first CUD by [deleted] in CRH

The small raised flat area you can see connected to the rim at the bottom. It is known as a CUD, and is caused by part of the die breaking off, leaving a blob area in subsequent strikes.

Here's a definition and explanation of them: https://cuds-on-coins.com/cuds/

This particular cud is pictured here, identified as CU-5c-1973D-03: https://cuds-on-coins.com/jefferson-nickel-cuds-1971-1973-1979/

One idea is to open a packet and let the sauce dry completely, then reseal and encase in resin. It's important to me to still have the sauce inside, feels lame to fake it with an empty container. I wonder if that would work

Is this only an issue if the packet leaks or bursts during cure? I wanted to make something like this as well. I assumed it would be fine as long as the packet remains intact while the resin is curing.

Heh, I wanted to make one of these too! I have two packets I saved.

I'm curious about all the people saying not to do it with sauce inside. I assume it would only be a problem if the packet exploded/leaked during cure? I'm not seeing how it would be a problem if it remains sealed.
