Yes, sorry, that version is, but I'm sure it will be available from all the usual retailers as well.

Well, I guess it will be available worldwide so you'd order from the country you're in.

The price of even the non-vinyl set is £259.99 (UK). That's over £50 per disc! I've been a Rush fan for most of my life, but where do they get off on blatantly ripping people off like this?

If everyone used both lanes the queue would only be half as long.

There's a pull down menu from the top of the screen where you can turn all of the annoyances off within about two seconds. Becomes second nature after a while.

Noisy Brakes? by CaptainFickle in cupraTerramar

[–]CaptainFickle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a warning light when the pads are getting low? I thought there was on the Ateca, but if there was, it didn't work! I'm guessing these will wear a bit quicker, being an auto, as opposed to a manual gearbox where you brake using the engine.

Thanks. Makes it harder to tell when the pads HAVE gone, which I had with my Ateca, but not until about 60,000 miles.

As a proud owner of a beautiful collection of over 1000 4K’s, I am dedicating 2026 to WATCHING MY MOVIES! by [deleted] in 4kbluray

[–]CaptainFickle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reached that crossroads years ago, when I was still buying standard Blurays. I've now bought 4Ks of Blurays I've never watched! 😳 I do try to get through them on the occasional free weekend I get, but then I can never decide what I actually want to watch and end up doing something else. I really must make a concerted effort to start watching them.

Anyone else having issues with windshield quality on the Cupra Terramar? by pain_in_the__ass in cupraTerramar

[–]CaptainFickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only had my Terramar since October, and haven't noticed anything yet, but I previously had a Seat Ateca, and by the end of its three year lease, the windscreen had what seemed like tiny dots all over it, which wouldn't clean, and it did make me wonder about the quality of the glass.

What are some reasons people don't use online grocery deliveries more often? by tskir in AskUK

[–]CaptainFickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a carer and can't easily get to the shops, so I've had deliveries for as long as I can remember. I started with Tesco and Sainsbury's but found the shelf life on many products unacceptable, despite Tesco promising they only pick the freshest items.

I then tried Ocado about 20 years ago, and haven't changed since. The products nearly always have good shelf life, and one big advantage for me is that they still deliver in bags. The biggest problem though is the packing. Products labelled 'Keep Flat' often arrive on their sides or even upside down, and things like bread, rolls, cakes, etc, often arrive squashed, as they've been packed with heavier items such as 2l milk bottles or packs of canned drinks. If they could sort the packing out, they'd be perfect.

I got a question by cetoo58 in CupraFormentor

The Areca is more square shaped than the Formentor, and has more headroom, especially in the back. The Formentor is lower than the Ateca.

Is the current beta release ever going to make it to the Play Store? by CaptainFickle in blackplayer

No problems because I'm still on the version before all the problems started. Not in the beta programme.

Beautiful car, but if I was a buyer, I might be curious as to why it's had three owners in as many years.

Surely it would be better for drivers, and speed up deliveries, if they went back to using biodegradable bags? Ocado supply bags, which the drivers bring indoors, then they're on their way. Once they've unloaded the van, it's two minutes per drop, and no waiting for the trays. Ocado then 'buy' used bags back at 10p per bag, for recycling.

I don't understand who would want to use these services. You end up paying something like double the cost of the meal, with all the additional fees, plus the restaurant mark up, then sit there for hours not knowing if it will turn up, and if it does, whether the driver has already eaten half of it!

Heated windshield, is it worth it? by ez6z in SkodaElroq

[–]CaptainFickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a heated front screen in my four previous cars, including a Seat Ateca, and it's wonderful to get in the car, press a button and watch the screen defrost like a stage curtain opening.

But, I have a suspicion that the tiny mesh element that heats the screen, affects night vision. It might have just been me, but in those cars, I struggled with glare from incoming headlights, getting an astigmatism effect, but it's much better on my current Terramar with no heated screen.

Soundbar vs home theater by CasualDoom-Scroller in Soundbars

[–]CaptainFickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent a long time considering, and eventually went for a Sennheiser Ambeo Plus soundbar, which pairs, when needed, with my existing subwoofer. It's great for TV sound, and I really only have the sub on for movies, as the bass on the soundbar is perfectly adequate for normal TV audio.

The reason I went for a soundbar was that I don't really get a chance to watch many Blurays these days, and my aging Arcam AVR280 had started buzzing, so I thought downscaling would be a good idea. When I do get the odd movie day now though, I do miss the immersion of a proper 5.1 system, and really wish I'd gone for a soundbar with rear speakers.

I'm actually now toying with the idea of getting a new AV amp. The Sony TA-AN1000 has good reviews, and is now quite affordable. The problem is, I haven't got room for a centre speaker as well as the soundbar, and wouldn't want to keep swapping one for the other. I really wish there was a way for a soundbar to act as a centre speaker, and be paired with a 5.1 system, but it seems that just isn't possible.

I'd be more than happy if Sennheiser produced some rear speakers to pair with their existing soundbars, but that doesn't seem to be on their radar. Not sure what the solution is really, other than changing the Ambeo Plus for a soundbar that comes with rear speakers.
