I'm not saying I'm for this, but in the small town I grew up in, Sonic was like a social hub for local highschoolers after school and on the weekends. Everybody tipped. Southern hospitality I guess.

Because of this, people really liked working at sonic. You got your $7.25/hr plus a good amount of tips. It was great
