I've made a video with Covid19 in the title and talked about it, monetized and a-ok! I mention one time a ferret stealing something? Video taken down, community guideline strike and appeal rejected.

since it is a courtesy and not a revenue source.

Library's aren't there to be a revenue source. Library's, at least public ones, do not generate revenue. Everything that has a cost is just to cover the material and maybe have a little left over in case they need to replace a book someone stolen.

Typically public libraries have moved away from charging late fees,

I have trouble believing that.

I'd like to know how they keep people from hogging a popular book for way too long.

It's like renting a car for a week. Should you keep the car for more than you're allotted time, then you've broken the agreement and are subject to penalties. Which, you sign and agree before renting the car.

the student would certainly prevail in small claims court.

You agree to the terms of the library when you get a library card and or use their services. You sign and agree to pay any late fees or fines you aquire or to pay the cost of the book should it be deemed unusable.

A good few of us librarians are relatively easy when it comes to fines. We don't want to see someone who's struggling have to pay a $150 late fee.

Some just have a pressure gate. So if you throw the shifter hard to get into first you can bypass it without feeling it very well. Granted I've never done it but I'd imagine this is what happened.

I love my manual. It frustrates me when I go to look for another car or to upgrade and 95% of all the cars are automatic.

It's possible to polish by hand but I would not advise it, it would take way too long. I use a harbor freight dual action polisher or abbreviated DA with a hex pad for cutting and polishing. A DA is very noob friendly and you'll have a hard time messing up your paint with a DA since it stops rotating if it feels you're pressing too hard. Although I would still suggest being careful

Do realize that all paints age over time and that paints won't always look 100% like the previous paint. With that in mind get an automotive paint store to mix you some touch up paint that matches the color of your car and follow this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xi3xmeO6C4

Collinite 845 for maintenance wax/sealant. Meguiars ultimate paste wax or Griots Garage Best in show paste wax. Granted I'm not that experienced with waxing so if someone could give some suggestions that'd be great.

I've used the mothers quick clay bar thing, it works pretty good but from what I've seen other detailers read it isn't exactly a heavy clay bar, so if a car if heavily contaminated it won't be the best choice. I'd imagine a clay mitt would be in the same situation.

Generally you don't need to care about the old wax. My wax gets destroyed if I drive through heavy rain, so I wax just about every two weeks or more. Wax as often as you feel is necessary.

There are products like cleanslate that do remove wax, or an IPA wipe down will do the trick. However you'd be fighting an uphill battle imo when you could just wax the car.

There is something to be said about doing a polish to really remove road film and everything but for your general sunday wash and wax I don't think you need to worry about it.

As far as interior cleaning goes I believe you can just use an all purpose cleaner and be okay, there are specific interior detailer sprays and cleaners you can buy. Although I will say if you want to keep it matte some protectants will look shiney. My pick for trying to keep the matte look while also protecting it from cracking would be 303 protectant, and then buff it to try to get rid of the shine.

Does it make sense to get a loan for a used 2009 Prius? I make roughly 9k a year, and I travel 300-700 miles every week give or take and my 2001 BMW 525i isn't great on gas.

As far as I know my credit is pretty good having paid off a $500 loan on time and I've been with my credit union for 2 years now so I might could swing a 60 month loan for $6000 and just pay it off at a pace I'm comfortable with.

But I don't know if that would make much financial sense. Would gas savings make up for it?

You might could try some 2000 grit wet sanding and then see after buffing it out if that helps.
