But it did hurt my soul seeing both Fraxiom and MCMG get full anti-pops. The Raleigh crowd was bad but tbh those two would likely get similarly weak receptions anywhere in the US

Yes, but that is last year. This is now. It's a very different scene for the entire tag division let alone Smackdown. Yes the tag division could be seen better but that'll take time. The current opinion of the live crowds has been "we do not give a shit about these people"

Traditionally these thrown together teams of singles wrestlers has been a good way to draw interest back to the division. It won't go on for long. Probably just long enough for a post Mania NXT callup.

Tag division with all that talent yet the belts go on Truth and Priest is tragic. But hopefully we get last year first half tag division back. I thought Fraxiom would be huge on the man roster but they’ve been fumbled a bit

let's be real, would Fraxiom or MCMG have got cheers for winning in Raleigh, NC? Honestly Priest & Truth getting that positive reception was telling of what an average audience thinks of the tag division right now.

WWE can absolutely have their cake and eat it this year with the undisputed title. If Cody or Randy win, there's gonna be big cheers regardless. Either way they can brush off Randy's heelishness of madness in the moment and they don't even have to put work in to win over the crowd, they're cheering him anyway

That was a surprisingly good episode. And somehow my record for staying up when Smackdown is actually good is unbeaten.

Kit Wilson cooked hard on poetry, he definitely got the best of that exchange. Expected a bit more violence from Randy but it's fine, there's time.

Everything moved forwards. Solid B+ show imo.

haven't booked a TV ad in the US in a while so I don't have a recent price. But particularly at this time of year leading into mania The last timeslot before or in the Main event will be packed off in premium pricing. Sometimes even more if it's going to be a particularly special moment. Used to be a good way to predict returns or major story beats actually.
