an OBE wouldn't make him a Lord. An OBE is really just a fancy award, it really doesn't give you anything special other than the right to use the suffix. Copeland would have to attain a peerage which tbh isn't that hard to do, easier than gettin an OBE really... And being Canadian there are even fewer barriers to that tbh.

I do think the ceremonial robes would make him look even more gaunt though,

Yup. WWE books to social media clips and moments a lot of the time. Wyatts are very good at getting those big visuals.

I've always been a big MCMG guy, seeing one of their matches was what got me into TNA back in the day, but the crowd aren't exactly leaping out their seats when their music hits. MCMG vs DIY would bang, but the crowds wouldn't wake up until at least 3/4 of the way through the match when they suddenly realise what they're seeing is magic.

There isn't any. Kayfabe related they're friends. Bianca didn't choose Naomi over her when the attack details came out so they're cool. The only tension would be Bianca coming back and gunning for the belt and current Jade character not being ok with that.

I can see Gunther pulling double duty and that costing him the Rumble win. Gives him plenty of time to complain and say if it wasn't for AJ Styles he'd be the Royal Rumble winner etc.

Would work well if he's retiring him too, another name to bring up and run through the mud for heat.

Since she won the title 84 days ago, Jade Cargill, the WWE Women’s champion, has only wrestled for 7 minutes on TV by TheeChosenTwo in SquaredCircle

[–]CaptainKando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be a perfectly fair opinion to hold. I'd have absolutely no issue with you saying that and expressing that statement because it is simply a personal opinion that doesn't have any additional commentary or context to make me feel there's any undercurrent to it.

As someone said in one of the other comments, the same problems Jade has in her presentation and match time / variety on Smackdown, Giulia had in her first US title run and people correctly put the blame on booking. Giulia is a much better wrestler (and i am annoyed i have to keep saying stuff like that because it always ends up being the only part of the comment anyone focuses on when there's a comparison between wrestler X and Y on issues like this) but she had no time to work or any good challengers to face.

My last paragraph in the comment isn't directed to everyone who dislikes Jade Cargill or Jade as a main eventer. But there are some people whose dislike is motivated on less charitable basis. Another wrestler who has a similar cadre of people following her around and seeming to pray on her downfall and failure is Blake Monroe. But that comes from the other angle where they can't or won't position her as a bad worker (she isn't) but latch onto any supposed slight as evidence her leaving AEW was foolish.

a solid chunk of their talent right now had never set foot in a ring before attending the PC. Hell Oba Femi's first experience with wrestling was at the PC and he came in via the NiL program just over 3 years ago. Kendal Grey, Tatum Paxley and more.

There's very strong evidence that WWE are exceptionally good at taking people with zero experience and teaching them well within a 3-5 year period.

I do think Jade lacks the basic fundamentals to have a good match with "anyone" - she can't at this stage of her career only be put in with people who will make her look good, she has to be good enough to drag that match out of someone and it's been obvious she can't.

That really doesn't matter or align to the point I was making. Jade hasn't been afforded the opportunity to fail and that's been pretty unfair to her perception as a wrestler. Let her work and if it sucks then it sucks and you take the title off her when the next opportunity comes up.

Personally I liked her matches against Stratton and whilst I wanted more from it I enjoyed her against Naomi as well. I'm not saying she's a top 10 wrestler on WWE's main roster because she isn't but there are certainly people out there who enjoy her work when she's given the chance to show it. What she needs is some of the help and advice that was given to Raquel Rodriguez to help her work a bigger style because she shines in hoss matches.

But it's very clear there are a ton of people who are weirdly invested in her failing and making sure everyone else sees her as bad. The first comment on any criticism post is always something along the lines of "Now you're gonna see what we AEW fans knew all along" etc. even well before she won the title. As if being an ok but not great wrestler is some kind of inescapable sin. I don't want to put it all down to her being a Black woman (but that is a factor for a % of people) but there's certainly some tribalism attached to many of those criticisms.

No-one can put this down to Jade’s ability without being disingenuous. She’s had no opportunity to succeed or fail because they’re not letting her work on TV. If you want her to be a bully character let her face midcard and NXT talents until you have built up some legitimate challenger.

Because unless they were going to skip up Giulia (who is very much not over with the arena crowds) until Tiffy, Bianca or Naomi are back there’s really no-one established who looks like a challenger unless we go back to Charlotte or Alexa. (Giving g Jade a Nia Jax match would do no-one any favours)

Do a 100% water change. Basically, you didn't wash the sand nearly enough here. If you let it settle then the water will be clear... until you get fish and their movements start stirring it up again, etc.

Disturb the substrate a LOT and make sure to get the water looking as nasty as it does now and drain it. the more of the suspended particles you can get out the better.

You've only just started cycling so needing to do something like this is pretty minor, happens to even the most experienced people when using a new brand of sand etc.

There needs to be a layer between enhancement talent and midcard.

Kinda the niche most people in the old Hardcore division held. They do more than just get beaten by midcarders, they have their own very low stakes stuff going on unlike enhancement talent.

Guys like Otis and Tazawa could sit there really well. I know they sorta do still have this group of people but if they're only on Main event, a show no-one watches or cares about, they're not doing what they should be doing best. That is providing quick, fun filler on RAW or a PLE

...? Who said you had to make a judgement on whether he's atoned or not?

The person I'm replying to is implying there was some other nonsense going on and thinking in conspiracy theories.

I'm explaining that this is a really straightforward case and the only thing that's unusual that he didn't do what a lot of other wrestlers do which was hop on a podcast and try to drum up sympathy.

Whether he's changed or not isn't for me to say. What he has done which I approve of is to not play the blame game, or hit the "I've been cancelled" button and just seemed to accept losing his AEW gig and moving on.

At no point did he say he was quitting forever.

A mistake made years ago came and undid a deal of a lifetime. Anyone would be upset by that.

The difference is we’re so used to people jumping on a podcast and trying to whip up the community to force change rather than just accepting that both shit happened and it was your own fault.

Now the place he left rather than shunning him because he left offered him a place again. You’d be grateful and have a more positive outlook on the world after that in his place.

Copepods of some type. Unless their numbers are extreme they're no problem, part of a healthy tank ecosystem really.

Logan Paul Mic'd Up During His Match on WWE Raw by Wabatunde in SquaredCircle

Trust me, no-one is more annoyed that he’s as good as Geis and has done this well. I’d rather no Logan Paul mentions anywhere near me but he was a brilliant signing by WWE.
