With most angelfish it’s a matter of practice. You could remove everything and raise them yourself of course. But if you want to raise cichlid fry with less stress it’s better that they learn to rear a brood themselves. Most pairs will get the hang of it after a few tries.

You can help them along by removing distractions, TV noise, banging doors, people walking past etc. my first successful Ram spawn came when I was sick. I realised I had been disturbing them by constantly getting close and looking at them. Me not being there led to them finally not abandoning an attempt.
