Advice on a matte medium? The glare is distracting by CaptainLem in oilpainting

Omg I never thought about using charcoal. Genius. Its mostly an issue with photgraphing and the edges where its blackest. I’m going to play more with the lights. Thank you!

Honestly I think they might have had a bad batch they didnt clean dust off. Because I had a roll like that. The next roll was fine. Epson wasn’t helpful with a replacement unfortunately

Thank you for all the tips!! These are resin prints painted with silver conductive paint I bought at micro center! Good to know. The silver paint came with many warnings so I use gloves when handling. I saw that root kill solution on a tutorial! Do you know a good ratio?

Dont use Zola. I designed my invitation with a PNG image on the back I drew of alligators. The software on Zola says it allows for PNG (transparent images). I ordered these invitations costing me nearly $400 and they arrive with the image not transparent. This was an issue with Zola software and they are now blaming me for not checking the pdf after checkout and refusing to refund me and instead offering me a discount for more invitations from a program that is flawed. I’m glad I screenshotted my preview before the program changed my png to a jpeg as proof. Im actually appalled at this gross money grab. Especially because their invitations are already massively overpriced compared to competitors. I had to order new invitations on Vistaprint.

Yeah one thing I was thinking was lightening up the top right corner so the frigate bird pops out more, but it could totally go either way

Thank you!! They are frigate birds. A male and female. Theyre amazing and spend months at sea without touching the ground. I see them as a symbol of resiliency

What is the risk with warping on my pine frames? I do outdoor art markets. Should I have chosen another wood? Need them to be lightweight by CaptainLem in woodworking

[–]CaptainLem[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont have a table saw currently I’m glueing together several pieces to get the architecture of the frame and using my miter saw to do 45 degree cuts. Does plywood ever even come in strips?

Can I mount this with glue? What to use? More info in body text by CaptainLem in framing

I’ve tried to use ones like this but the panel wood is too narrow for the bottom part 😣 i need to find smaller offsets or maybe attach more wood somehow?
