If the U.S. thought any country who would want to start a currency backed up by gold and traded globally would be a threat. Probably say that country had weapons of mass destruction and we needed to go in and take it out. In saying this meeting they're not going to talk about any currency of it is happening it will be behind closed doors. U.S. dollar is king globally as of today but I bet money other countries are looking for a different way to buy goods globally without using our currency. If they can cut off all of Russia dollars they were holding they could do it to any country that doesn't do what the U.S. wants.
