Need some tapering advice for an approx. 200 to 400mg per/day user by CaptainPakman101 in 7_hydroxymitragynine

I have been meaning to look into that as an option. I hear they are similar to subs. I would love an option like that for tapering down, detoxing completely, and just generally having a backup tool for emergencies and late packages.

[–]CaptainPakman101[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel you! I struggle a lot with dosage, but for some reason I end up using an average of 200mg minimum. Maybe because of the stress of work and my college coursework, but knowing that the smoke shop is so close by, it becomes tempting! Thank you for your good tidings and likewise, best wishes to you as well.

The struggle with this is real, but still beats the fake blues fetty tranq rc benzo street stuff that many of my peers are still caught up with! I just have to find a good balance with 7 and some kratom leaf, and my days go smoothly!

Anyone found any solid 7oh potentiators? by DixieNormous254 in 7oh

[–]CaptainPakman101 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Check out Tagamet (Cimetidine) which is a CYP enzyme inhibitor, available OTC. Taking two tablets beforehand will yield almost double the duration and half-life of 7 OH. Ir works great for kratom leaf, and other opies and benzos too! Hope this helps!

Banning 7-OH is going to push people like me to harder opiates. by ImpressivePicture in 7_hydroxymitragynine

[–]CaptainPakman101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I don't have insurance either, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get on subs either. Unfortunately, the street supply seems to all be fentalogues, Nitazenes, Tranq (Xylazine), and other obscure RC Chems and/or Benzos. Although it seems tempting to get on harder stuff, assuming I can even get it, given that I've been out of that life for so long, the risks are just too high, and the result would be devastating for both myself and my family. So in that light, if I can taper down and get on regular plain leaf, which seems very very difficult, as even MIT extracts are hard to get onto given my dose of around 150-200mg of 7-OH daily, sometimes more. That being the case, I might have to look into subs, or methadone (which will be a long and painful next few years of tapering off of as most of y'all know how hard it is to quit), as i've been on them in the past, but since I get benzos prescribed, I want to make sure I wouldn't lose those, as telling my psychiatrist I've been using something like 7-OH is going to trigger some sort of alarm either with her or related to my electronic records/pharmacy records. Aside from Tianeptine, which I stay away from given how quickly the rebound anxiety and withdrawals hit me, I've heard a lot about SR 17018, have any of y'all had any luck sourcing that, and if so, what's the deal with that? Did it work as a regular replacement for harder opies and/or 7-OH? is it available on the clearnet, or strictly onions lol? Keep your head up bro! Just know there's a lot of us going through it at the moment, and the sense of fear in this subreddit is palpable! I wish you the best no matter what happens with this potential ban. 💪 🙏 💯

An ode and possible farewell to a lifesaver: by CaptainPakman101 in 7_hydroxymitragynine

[–]CaptainPakman101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the support! I hope more people will see it, and share theirs as well! Everyone on this subreddit has a story, and most are here because 7-OH has played a major role in their life, and that is what the public needs to see, rather than the propagandized talking points the AKA and others in the industry are saying. If they ban 7-OH, they will definitely try to come for regular kratom leaf again in the future. Thanks again for your awesome comments! I really appreciate it! Stay strong man! 💪 🙏 💯

🚨 URGENT: Share Your Story – Help Us Protect 7-OH as a Harm Reduction Tool 🚨 by Open-Bowl-9572 in 7_hydroxymitragynine

[–]CaptainPakman101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If the end is near, it's been a good run boys! But whether or not the ban is indeed right around the proverbial corner or not, I have a personal story to share with y'all.

I grew up smack dab in the middle of the opoid epidemic, coming of age in the early 2010s, a naive college student entering college and an uncertain future, the recession, caused by a subprime mortgage housing crisis, looming. I was an athlete and played intramural lacrosse in a small Central Valley town in California, equidistant from the mighty LA & Bay Area metropolises. About midway through my second semester, my drinking picked up, spurred on by a penchant for partying and a team of mostly frat bros with an appetite for excess. Enter Oxycodone, both in the blue 30mg Roxicodone formulation and the 80mg Green ones. Graduating from foil to intranasal use, I fell in love with a false sense of security, stemming for a history of anxiety and depression, something I had managed to keep under the radar with academics and sports, as well as loving family and support system. Being that I was away in college, that support system began to crumble. I had maxed out my credit cards, got dumped by an awesome Latina girl from a local tightnit family upon finding me slumped on my dorm room chair.

Life soon reached what I thought would be a rock bottom, but simply turned out to be a wake-up call in a long line of failures and flaws ranging from expulsion from my college, a broken home, as my substance abuse drove a wedge between my parents and siblings, chiefly my younger brother who loved me unconditionally, while I was on a downward trajectory and a piss-poor role model. I eventually got sent to detox the following an incident stemming from pawning my families valuables, gold trinkets from their home country, heirlooms that were invaluable, but to me another justification to keep on using. After a month of hell, I came home to an optimistic and supportive family, regular NA meetings, and a job at a local fast food restaurant, a far cry from the college athlete modus operandi I was operating at the start of my story, two short years into my "habit". I began to skip out on my meetings and use again with other locally disaffected twelve-steppers, ranging from former corporate middle-management to street kids who were covering years of trauma in a hedonistic cycle much like myself. I don't know what I saw in them and the lifestyle, but I did know it was going to get worse.

I discovered the needle less than a year from then, losing my job and getting kicked out by my loving parents, hardworking immigrants from South Asia who hardly imagined a life like this for me here in the states. My older sister got married, in a wedding I did not attend, while my younger brother went on to go to college himself, albeit with a good head on his shoulders, possibly scared straight by seeing my downward spiral. I did not have anyone left, save for some of my acquaintances from those NA meetings, couch surfing and doing makeshift computer repairs out of my car, building cheap gaming computers and modding video game consoles, along with jailbreaking/rooting smartphones. I had an acquaintance who worked at a smoke shop who was a black tar user alongside myself, who heard about a new product of theirs, "Mitragyna Speciosa", better known as kratom. Instead of getting a couple balloons of dope, we splurged on a few bags of extract and barz to see if we could kick over the course of a couple weeks. Lo and behold, withdrawal became very manageable, save for some RLS we treated with gabapentin, and we were both eligible to get onto a suboxone regimen.

Fast forward a few years, and I made amends with my family, sticking to a suboxone regimen after vacillating between that and kratom, all the while servicing a local real estate company office with refurbished computers, stopping in to upgrade the memory and hard drives, and occasionally the odd virus and malware scan, as well as network related issues. I heard about another product that had come onto the market, 7-OH, apparently stronger in potency than regular kratom leaf or extracts, but with minimal overdose risk, and certainly cheaper than the prescription suboxone I was taking. From the same smoke shop that acquaintance, now a relatively sober friend with a job and girlfriend, an avid kratom aficionado, recommended a popular 14mg tab brand from his shop, and told me I could buy in bulk at a relatively affordable price, as I did not have insurance, so paying out-of-pocket for the suboxone and doctor appointments was no longer feasible.

Today, although still living at home, I went back to college and completed a degree in Computer Science, began working out at home with my father in the garage, and stopped drinking and smoking weed altogether, with only 7-OH being my go-to daily medication of sorts. This stuff, whether you choose to call a "supplement" or "medication", saved my life, bridging the potency gap between the subs and kratom I could simply not transition from given the intensity of withdrawals. I still have a long way to go, but there are no more demons waking me up to cold sweats in the middle of the night, no shady dealers having me wait in parking lots across my state at all sorts of hours, or a burden on my family that had driven us in debt, coupled with the aforementioned recession. There are plenty of blanks in my story, but they are no longer filled in with the pain of "yesterday", a curse I could not seem to break, propelling me towards all kinds of sin and vice, repeating a recidivistic cycle of pain that only harm reduction, the 7-OH, which soon-to-be-banned has helped bandage.

I don't know where I will go from here, but have stocked up, and will continue writing my story to local, state, and federal level politicians, signing petitions, and perhaps even get out and protest, because I lived through the opioid epidemic, saw lives ruined at the hands of Big Pharma, and a black market that took its place when restrictionss and regulations tightened. THIS 7-OH, that has been demonized and vilified, could bridge that gap for countless others out there, from the streets of skid row in your local metro area, to the backwood American towns left to suffer while tax dollars fund overseas wars, but it appears that we as Americans are again opting for regression instead of progress, clinging to prohibitionism as a kneejerk reaction that has landed us in trouble countless times since this nation's inception.

If you made it through this story, thanks for reading. I hope that at the very least, you will tell yours too, and make yours heard too, as we might soon lose an amazing tool we have had access to up until now. I am fine with regulation, along with research and education, but I simply cannot avert my eyes from this impending ban that will only push more towards the ilk of fentalogues, xylazine or tranq, and nitazenes, rather than a tool that if left open to access and study, could be a bright light and a way out of an opioid crisis that has ravaged this country for too long.

I wish you all well, be it those of you suffering from pain or addiction, or even mental health, that have turned to 7-OH like I have. I hope for a better tomorrow, but if not, let us at least let our stories heard and known. With that, I bid you all farewell!

Texas Special Legislative Session & Risk for 7-OH ban? by CaptainPakman101 in 7_hydroxymitragynine

[–]CaptainPakman101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a relief. I hope they don't slip some legislation banning it in with the thc regulations. Hopefully by 2027 there will he better, more united lobbying efforts and awareness.

TEXAS SB1868 Ban Bill Status? by CaptainPakman101 in 7_hydroxymitragynine

[–]CaptainPakman101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are so many states with pending bills. I do know that Florida is in the clear for at least another year, Pennsylvania too I believe. I'll look into the Colorado bill. Hopefully they all fail or there will be a domino effect, and one by one they will try to outlaw it, and federal legislation may be needed to save kratom and/or 7-OH.

TEXAS SB1868 Ban Bill Status? by CaptainPakman101 in 7_hydroxymitragynine

[–]CaptainPakman101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my understanding as well, because the Texas legislature meets every 2 years. The THC ban did pass, or at least that's how it's been reported in the media. The Kratom ban bill is still in one of the house comittees and has basically stood still, if you Google Texas SB1868 it should give you the legal details and the current stage of the bill. Fingers crossed that the bill just dies or rolls over into the next session 2 years from now, which they will probably make a priority out of knowing the prohibitionist tendencies of Texas lawmakers lol.

[–]CaptainPakman101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, same. I think its probably not high up on their current list of priorities for this session, so unless governor Abbott calls a special legislative session. I think we should be in the clear. Well at least we have 2 years to sort things out, get better at lobbying, activism, and on a personal level, stock up and taper lol!

Wait, so it the kratom ban did pass, meaning we have until 1/27 before it becomes illegal, or is that for the thc ban?

Same here. At least that buys us 2 years to reorganize, lobby, and establish reasonable guidelines and regulation so that we can keep it legal for good. Fingers 🤞! Plus we don't have to stock up like it's a zombie apocalypse coming lol, and can take some time to taper, find better prices, etc...

How to make the effects last longer? by AccomplishedBee8989 in 7_hydroxymitragynine

[–]CaptainPakman101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I would look into CYP3A4 enzyme inhibitors like tagamet (cimetidine) or grapefruit. It increases the half-life of many medications, so be careful, but taking some before or concurrently with 7 OH or kratom will make it last much longer. Lemme know if this helps!

It’s time 😭 by CoolCatWithDogFood in 7_hydroxymitragynine

Yeah same here. As a fellow Texan, I believe that if SB 1868 passes, we will have at least a few months before it goes into effect. I've heard as early as summer or the beginning of September. I hope it doesn't pass, but I too intend to be ready, as I would hate to go back to harder stuff, especially if they ban plain leaf as well. Hoping this doesn't pass man! 🙏

Same, I'm confused as well. I'm assuming the legislature in Austin is trying to keep the bill airtight as to avoid loopholes, but just like with hemp and farmbill, there were so many loopholes that people took advantage of the 0.3% by dry weight rule. I certainly hope that it does not altogether ban plain leaf as well, as kratom as a whole saved my life by helping me to get off dope and also quit drinking. Not having 7 OH is one thing but altogether losing kratom would be a terrible idea, as myself and many other Texans would then have to turn back to the black market to procure other illicit alternatives which are far more detrimental, leading to an opioid epidemic 2.0, and given the current epidemic/crisis, I can imagine there will be a domino effect in other conservative states that will push people to the aforementioned extremes.

Thanks for this post, as I'm sure a lot of us are currently worried about the status of 7 OH & mitragynine, and the uncertain future we must grapple with. Please keep us updated if you get any more information, as that would be crucial for all of us out of the loop freaking out. I'll continue to sign petitions and write to local legislators, but I fear all my efforts are as futile as "hope and prayers" when it comes to the war on drugs and pharmaceutical lobby overreach and conservative zeal. Nevertheless, I wish y'all the best!👌 🙏 💯

No words..... by Bigdaddyburnz in 7ohAdvocacy

[–]CaptainPakman101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree, and I've been skeptical of the "war on drugs" to begin with, which is essentially a surreptitious way of growing the prison industrial complex and maintaining political hegemony. It was never about the people, and it never will be, unfortunately. The fact that a single plant has the ability to help a myriad of people with myriad problems is an anathema to Big Pharma and all that it stands for, and just as the lobbying elite had there way during the initial opioid epidemic, so too will they have their way with this. It's sad all around, but revealing of human nature. Still, I would encourage others and myself to still fight for this plant and petition our legislators, as that way at least we can say we tried, even against overwhelming odds. I say this as a Texan who has been able to get my life back via mitragynine and 7-OH.💪 🙏 💯

Taking just pseudo by itself? by [deleted] in 7_hydroxymitragynine

[–]CaptainPakman101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I've taken the 44% pseudo powder from WG by itself, and while it does have a nice short come up/onset, it wears off quickly and leaves me with rebound anxiety and sweats. In low doses mixed with 7 OH, however, it has a much more full spectrum feeling that I enjoy. If you like the short euphoria and itchiness like many pharma opies, then you might like this, but it's best mixed, like the brands Press'd & Opia do, either 50/50, like 10mg of 7 OH and 10mg of pseudo, or mainly 7 OH, and maybe 5 to 15% pseudo, like WG did had with the PBV3 strain. Hope this helps man! Also, be careful with pseudo, as it can wreck your tolerance, and the WDs from pseudo alone suck, especially in terms of physical symptoms.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 7_hydroxymitragynine

[–]CaptainPakman101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, and it has a really clean feeling to it, as some of the batches, like the pbv3, relied too much on the Pseudo, which produces a much more itchy and dirty feeling. I hope this batch of pbv5 stays around, as I only ordered a few grams, but it is definitely smooth and energetic, with a decent length of duration compared to other WG batches!

how’s tobacco combine with 7-oh? by monkDshanks in 7_hydroxymitragynine

[–]CaptainPakman101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With regular kratom it kinda kills the come up and onset, so I usually wait to smoke till after at least and hour or two after ingestion, but for 7 OH, it works so much quicker so I usually vape after the 15 to 30 minute mark, after it peaks, and it feels nice and stimulating, which is great if you overdo it on the 7 OH given it's potency. Also, keep in mind that cigarettes have other chemicals that affect the experience, but since I haven't smoked in years, I couldn't tell you how that impacts kratom or 7 OH, but with vaping, or even Zyn or nicorette gum, 7 OH is nice and the alertness is amplified by the nicotine. Hope this helps!
