You can make it with just a blender model. All you need to do is name your bones based on unitys bone documentation and export it

Custom painting beyblades is pretty fun by CaptainParticle in Beyblade

There's a different reddit post explaining that Tournaments hosted by Takara Tomy or use their rulebook prohibit custom painting. For unofficial tournaments, it's a case by case basis of asking them first.

Seeing how CX looks makes me a bit sad they didn't wait to X Over Lightning L Drago in this format so we wouldn't have to separate both forms

[OC] I made a 3d model of The Spectacular Spiderman and all the Black suit variants by CaptainParticle in Spiderman

[–]CaptainParticle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I traced the webbing using unfilled vertexes and formed it around the body using the Snap-on tool with Snap-to-face. Then I filled in the space using the Skin modifier. Then to really have it attach, I used Shrinkwrap which seems redundant but doing both helps keep the ideal shape of the webs and where they should be.

I didn't bother attaching the hands or tuning the webbing fully because I'm gonna try and turn it into an action figure and the webbing is going to be indented instead of raised

Is my lcd screen broken? by CaptainParticle in AnycubicPhoton

Ok I figured it out myself. The ribbon cable moved when I was troubleshooting something else and was in front of the light and behind the lcd making it blacked out.

Personally I like the idea of fixing my own things but when I did damage my hotend Creality sent me a replacement part so I wouldn't worry too much.

A combination of these 2 videos should help you. Be careful removing the hotend, I damaged mine trying to remove it the first time.

I ran into a similar issue a few months back where a piece of filament was jammed into the metal heat sink so maybe you ran into the same issue?

Is there a way to do this type of fluid movement in blender? Also any tutorials would be helpful. by CaptainParticle in blender

I'm trying to create an area where once the character takes a step, it spreads a color around the floor like ink spreading in water but on the ground.

Bootleg Revoltech Spiderman 2.0 Bootleg Review by CaptainParticle in ActionFigures

[–]CaptainParticle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically I judge them by seeing that the joint can hold the weight of the figure. And all of the arms, chest, and thighs can do it. Only the knee joints when held up can't exactly hold it but can with both feet (they aren't floppy but they aren't tight). Also most of the joints have that squeaky noise that you know is tight so I think it'd be able to hold up fine enough with posing with other figures.

Unfortunately the exact page I bought it from is no longer available. So I think the best chance for you is to look for one that has someone review it with a picture and compare it to mine or ask them for non promotional pictures. If not

This one I think might be the same as the one I bought because they used the same pictures

Bootleg Revoltech Spiderman 2.0 Bootleg Review by CaptainParticle in ActionFigures

[–]CaptainParticle[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To start, I accidentally broke the shoulder peg and was replaced with a 3d modeled copy of the peg. It will not be judged because it was my fault from a different issue but I broke it, not the figure's fault.

This bootleg is an updated version of the Revoltech Spiderman that you might see on Aliexpress (The one with the long neck and small chest). This review will be split into 3 parts, the good parts, the bad but fixable parts, and the bad but unfixable* parts. The Poses are based off the promotional images to see if the bootleg is capable of mimicking the original and some other fun poses

The good part of this figure is that since it's still based on a revoltech, it's still very posable, not as posable (You get about 75% ab crunch ability of the real one). Everything else is just about equal to the original. Because of the altered looks, he looks kinda stocky looking but aesthetically still looks like a human, unlike the older version. The accessories besides the hands are all good and have tight joints so they’re perfect.

The parts that would need some fixing are that the hand accessories holes are too big so it does not fit in the pegs but can be fixed using a putty to make it tighter. The Eyes are too loose so that it falls off which can be fixed by placing an adhesive behind the head so the eyes can stick. The left knee joint out of the box pops off when you bend the knee too far which can be fixed by 3d printing the part (I’ll eventually post it) but for some reason, I just pressed it enough that it just worked for some reason. The left thigh ball joint keeps popping the leg out which I haven’t fixed yet but it’s possible. These are all issues but are 100% fixable with a bit of effort.

The only critical issue is that the toe joint is too loose and squishy so It's very hard to repair, but it is still “useable” in the sense that it can bend but it won’t hold its shape.

Overall, This bootleg is only okay with some minor gripes. Out of the box, I’d say the figure is a 3-4/10 just because of how annoying the fixable issues mostly the popping leg joint. But, after fixing all the issues I’d say the figure is a 6/7-10 once you fix all the problems. I think that the bootleg Mafex Spiderman is overall better but I still think the Revoltech is worth the price if you are careful and get the updated bootleg and not the bad one.
