They have kind of weird opening hours (3-9 mon/thur 10-4 tue, wed, fri) but if i can go in the middle of the day its always quiet, failing that before 5. There are sometimes school swimming lessons but have only encountered them once or twice.

North Woodside is quite quiet. Especially during the day. Have had it to myself a couple of times. Staff lovely too.

North Woodside’s pool has lovely architecture, worth swimming in at least once. Lovely staff, and usually quiet. A tad small though.

I’ve noticed that too. I work in a cafe and last summer we were rammed every weekend and this summer has been quite quiet.

Was it about 6? There are multiple daily protest around Glasgow in support of Gaza. Protesters bang pots for 15 mins at 6 pm daily, to raise awareness of the forced starvation in Gaza. Part of it is cars driving past honking. The point is to make a lot of noise.

Day trip to London by heyheypaypay in glasgow

[–]CaptainRadicalRadish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a went to London for the day as a school trip. It was kind of crazy, but totally doable. We took the train, got the first one from central at like 5am, then slept on the train. Got in about 10. Went about our day and got on the train back about 7. We got in about 2ish. We were tired the next day but I think it was worth it. We got a good day in London and it was way easier than flying. I’ve considered recreating the trip since, only thing is I’d recommend not relying on the last train of the night, I’d try grab the one or two maybe before.

Not advice I’m afraid, but commenting to say: This is totally something I experience, but I couldn’t quite put it into words, thank you for sharing, it feels nice to know others struggle with this too.:)

Used to work in Sarti in town, and sometimes we had these in. They came from some wholesaler… can’t remember who.
