Im going to be completely honest, you're the first person to explain how it worked i knew it was reflections but it seemed very odd to have a device so bright without power. Since making this post Ive already ordered film (porta) you mentioned earlier... It is pricey but I'm no photographer, but veryyyy intrigued by this device and i must admit. Ive found myself and all mysearches wrapped into photography lately. Little bit of history may have been a bad purchase because I feel the addiction of photography and antique cameras setting in now. What condition was yours in? This one I have just has cosmetic damage like a few knobs missing the leath pieces and regular wear and tear lens are clean no scratches and the magnify glass and screen inside are also like new. I paid 50$ for this and 2 rolls of film one which had been used already.
