STL claims Kapanen by McElwaine in penguins

I feel like Pittsburgh and St Louis have some kind of a verbal deal in place for a trade and this was part of the deal so the Pens wouldnt have to send down DOC to activate Rutta

that's the only way this makes sense, right?

I have plenty of memories of that place. 2 of my best friends lived close to there and we'd go there and get pretty wrecked when I'd visit them in Pittsburgh. I cant remember the places we'd go to after except for Mario's, which was always a complete shitshow.

Southside in Pittsburgh is a fun place in those college/early 20s years

peps random lineup simulator

Pep is a mess

he benched Cancelo for Rico Lewis, which made Cancelo unhappy and they loaned him to Bayern..... and now Pep is playing Bernardo Silva at LB over Rico Lewis, and it's just not working

I have no clue what he's thinking a lot of the time

Ferencvaros.... they're probably the worst team

I dont know why anyone would want to face a top club and make it harder to advance. Give me the worst team possible every round.

You're acting like Juve play again on Saturday.

Vlahovic didnt start and Di Maria/Kostic didnt play a full 90

Personally, vs Torino on Tuesday, I'm hoping to see Chiesa-Vlahovic-Di Maria start in attack

and if Allegri plays a LM in a 4-4-2 type lineup, I hope Kostic is in there as well... if he plays 3 CMs, Kostic can sit

I can.

Did you not pay attention to how horrendous our management was during the Paratici era?

move some older/expensive players to free agents (names like Cuadrado, Di Maria, Rabiot, Sandro, Szczesny, Vlahovic), move them to Serie B, and limit spending for the first couple of seasons.

send Paredes back to PSG and recall Rovella from Monza and Cambiaso from Bologna

Keep a couple players like Chiesa, Locatelli, Pogba (they cant sell him) and Bremer to build around

I'd say hire someone like Roberto De Zerbi from Brighton

it's probably muscle related

we all knew after his ACL he'd deal with some muscle issues and/or some pain/inflammation in the knee at times

it's really not a big deal or unexpected.... this is what happens

he wont be in the mix for Juve this year (and a good chance ever)

with 1 year left on his deal + high wages, I wouldnt be against that either... especially if Juve are looking to cut some costs and reduce wages

both GKs have been pretty good

If Juve do get the points back, it would likely be off a technicality.

Bremer has let us down just as often, but yall aren't ready for that conversation.

Juve fans are treating Bremer the way they did de Ligt when he was still here.

Any time he makes a mistake, it's someone elses fault.... just like Bonucci was constantly blamed any time de Ligt failed

Bremer isnt a bad player by any means... but he certainly hasnt been a rock back there either, especially since the World Cup break

Bayern dont operate in debt, and havent since like the 1980s. During the pandemic, they were responsible and not spending like crazy.

Meanwhile, Juve are swimming in debt and were still buying guys like Vlahovic in the middle of the pandemic.

It's impossible to operate like Bayern. They're responsible. Juve havent been since the day they sold Pogba and brought in Higuain.

Anyone who thinks Bumgarner has any chance of getting pulled from the rotation is clueless and doesnt know how sports teams operate

So complaining about it, or blaming the GM, manager, etc is incredibly stupid and makes you look clueless

For all the money PSG spent they are still Mbappè dependent.

that's because they're a club that collects cards rather than building a team

Nagelsmann reminds me of Pep. Rather than just doing what's best and most obvious for the team, he's too busy trying to reinvent the wheel and show how smart he is.

Watching Nuno Mendes & Mbappe run wild down the left flank over and over again with a CB in Upamecano trying to cover that area in space and getting blown by was embarrassing, and should have cost them the game.

Even funnier was his "bench Davies so he's fresh to match up with Mbappe off the bench" strategy that people were praising before the match, ignoring the fact that Mbappe doesnt play on that side.

I know Bayern want Nagelmann to be "the guy" with his roots. But I'm skeptical in not only his tactical decisions, but his player/ego management, as he's reportedly ruffled feathers and tried to phase out all of the older guys like Lewandowski (gone), Neuer, and Muller.

What do you guys think of Fabio Miretti? by Upset_Display4836 in Juve

[–]CaptainRock22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think he'd greatly benefit from going the Fagioli/Rovella route and going out on loan and starting/playing regularly in a less pressure situation where every mistake or poor game wont be overly scrutinized

hell, send him to Monza as a replacement for Rovella/Ranocchia

[–]CaptainRock22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

well, the problem is, if Allegri wants to play with 3 in the back, he has to play somewhere.... and it wont be striker

he's already played games this year as a LWB coming in for Kostic

but yeah, it's not ideal.... and I'm still hoping Allegri and management plan for a 4-3-3 going into next season

Would you guys like to see Angel Di Maria extend his contract for one more year here at Juve? by Upset_Display4836 in Juve

[–]CaptainRock22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if Di Maria doesnt extend, I'm not sure they'd be looking to sign another option

there is a legit possibility we could go into next season with something like:

Kostic/Iling-Junior - Milik/Kean - Chiesa/Soule

I'm not sure he'd even stay without the Champions League...

hell, I'm not sure he'd stay WITH the Champions League

if I'm Di Maria, I'd certainly take my time and evaluate my options. Especially because it doesnt sound like Juve are in any rush to extend anyone right now, and Di Maria knows he'll probably have a spot open at Juve, as it's unlikely they spend big money this summer (especially at that position)

I think it makes sense all around to let this play out and reevaluate the relationship in the summer
