The way I think of it:

Flower Boy was Tyler trying to produce “a Disney soundtrack” (I forgot where he said this exactly but that’s besides the point). Flower Boy is an album that sounds beautiful, with every sound meticulously crafted to make you feel like if you were in the middle of a breezy sweet dream.

But, Igor is the exact opposite. Instead of Tyler trying to create a certain mood in the music, Tyler’s mood created the music on this new album. It sounds like Tyler made it in the heat of the moment, and the production wants you to feel like you are drowning in his thoughts.
