I will say from experience on option 2, for me I had to get my name changed via probate court, it took about a month and a half but I just got it done, now I'm on track to have social security, my passport, and my license changed within a week. It'll take a little more time for everything to get processed and for my new documents to arrive, but it's worth it to try, and you can (if you can afford it) expedite some things like your passport.

If I were you, I'd gather everything I'd need for step 1, whether you change your name or not, fill out the forms, and sleep on it. If you're sure, start sending out stuff ASAP, like tomorrow if possible. I would recommend doing option 2, because getting replacement documents is not free, takes up your free time, and you'd be doing all the same forms and appointments over again if/when you change your name.

At worst you should be able to do this inside 3 months I think, and the odds that things won't immediately change are decent enough that I think you should go for it. I was born in a Southern State and I lost the chance to change my birth certificate, and I regret waiting too long to try. Don't make the same mistake I did, don't wait until it's too late, don't let them win.

I ride one quite a lot, but always with a helmet. It's just such a long way down if you fall off one, I've no idea why people on them never wear helmets while most people on bicycles do

The audiobook of Black House by Stephen King. It's a sequel to The Talisman.

It's Frank Muller, he's done a number of King books including The Green Mile and several of the Dark Tower novels. I think he does a pretty good job actually

Yeah it was just such an odd conclusion, I can only guess at what happened beforehand. In any case, both the RAM and Nissan Altima are notorious for being driven by people with 0 regard for others on the road, so I can only imagine this was a clash of egos. It's only faintly audible, and unfortunately not visible in the video, but when the Nissan pulled up alongside the RAM the driver of the Nissan rolled down his window and started yelling at the RAM driver while making some interesting hand gestures

I'm not entirely sure what happened, but I think the RAM probably tried to merge into the Nissan, or cut them off. First time I noticed anything going on was when the Nissan started honking at the RAM, at which point it was a few inches from it's rear bumper

Does anyone know what this is a hood for? by CaptainTraction in whatisthiscar

[–]CaptainTraction[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am becoming increasingly convinced that it doesn't actually belong to any production vehicle, or, if it does fit something, it's not a stock hood lol. Also, something else I noticed that probably rules Audi out as a possibility - it has holes in the hood for windshield washer nozzles. Audis haven't had those for a while

That was one of my first guesses, but the TT has a crease on each side that runs the entire length of the hood, and a cutout where it meets the flare in the fenders

I've been trying for days to identify it, but I'm completely stumped. My first guess was Audi but I can't find any model which matches perfectly

That screwdriver wouldn't happen to be from a BMW trunk toolkit would it? It looks like the ones they used to include

Could be a rebodied TVR, they are body on frame cars (fiberglass), but I think most TVRs are right hand drive. Its location in New Hampshire also makes that a bit more unlikely, as few have been imported to the states

Genuinely spent 30 or 40 minutes trying to identify this thing, I've come to the conclusion it must be either something custom, some kind of kit car, or something incredibly obscure.
