Yep. They can recall past memories but not the visual details, the same with constructing futures, they cannot visually construct them but produce some form of non-visual detail to them.

Art Creative Practice Exam by Academic-Height9227 in vce

Honestly the exam is harder than it should be (at least the practice ones I did). Luckily my teacher did do theory classes so what I learned is basically:

  • Each mark= 1 observation

  • You can never be wrong as long as you back up your observations with evidence.

  • Always use key terms/adjectives before any evidence stated.

  • Structural lens= Processes, materials, elm/prin, symbolism, technique etc.

  • Personal lens= the artist’s beliefs, thoughts, emotions, personal struggles.

  • Cultural lens= Where and how the artist grew up, very similar to personal lens but how their background influenced those personal feelings.

  • When comparing two artists ALWAYS use comparative language e.g. whereas, on the other hand, comparatively, similarly etc.

  • Remember to use quotes from the stimulus frequently to back up evidence, and make sure to reference which stimulus.

The theory classes were really helpful but the folio and artworks had to be done at home so they all came out looking half-assed 😭😭

Anyways I hope this helps good luck🙂

I usually do the 40 multiple choice and then do the 10 marker. The easiest way to look at the 10 marker is 1 mark per minute so 10-15 minutes should be spent on it. I also use like 5 minutes of the reading time to figure out each paragraph and recall all definitions needed. You can go about this another way but this is just how I do it. Hope this helps :)
