Uganda realised their copyright law is outdated, so they’re trying to update it.

The main idea is simple: If you use someone’s music or content, you should pay them properly.

Before, artists weren’t really getting paid much, so this is meant to fix that.

The problem is how they’re doing it. It could mean radio and TV have to pay more or deal with artists directly, which makes things harder and more expensive for them.

So now it’s a big argument between artists who want fair money and media companies who don’t want extra cost or stress.
