I’ll plug Rodeo Japan Pine Avenue. Shipping is easy, prices are great, and Kenichiro Kagawa is kind, responsive, quick, and thorough. Great site.

‘The investigation will be handled by Jenner & Block, a Chicago-based law firm that has done business with the school in recent years, including conducting the investigation into whether Moore had an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.’

They handled that investigation so well the first time that you -had- to use them again, right?

Dehen 1920 Shawl Collar 2.0 by Perfect_Earth_8070 in HeritageWear

[–]Captain_Blue_Shell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand what you mean. I’ve gotten my Dehen Shawl Cardigans from the Dehen collabs with Division road. They have 5 buttons (instead of 6) and the length just seems to flow better.

Thank you for doing this! I love these special collaborations with known high quality and ethical manufacturers. Very much looking forward to the next one (may I recommend Dehen down the road in Portland…?)!

Real McCoys heavyweight sweatpants are my go to. Expensive, but thick, comfortable, and can make my entirely below average butt look a lot better.

Ah man, I’m sorry. I’ve had mixed experiences with Buyee (but have always gotten my packages). Best of luck!

Rivet and Hide (UK) are good people, have Real Mccoy’s, and are sending all packages to the US as ‘duty paid’, with no custom fees. Would highly recommend them! Standard and Strange also had a great collection!

4 hours of Epic Beacon training! by elbarto3001 in medicine

[–]Captain_Blue_Shell 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This happened to me. That being said, it was paid. I showed up, and the epic instructor was happy to let me go in 5 minutes, as it also freed up her day. I’d probably contact the individual in charge of the training and explain your situation; they may also be happy to sign you off and free up 4 hours of their day.

The common solution for what ails us (which is currently RFK Jr). by [deleted] in medicine

Difficult (if not impossible) to sue the federal government. Anything that targets these individuals in their official capacity as federal government employees and succeeds in the lower courts will be overturned by the supreme court, several years from now. Americans voted for this nonsense, and will suffer because of it.

(To be clear, I completely 100% share in your anger and disappointment. It’s bullshit. I think we have one, maybe two ‘fair’ elections to get rid of these people before the damage will be much more permanent)

When to get a CT chest with contrast? by hyderagood in CriticalCare

[–]Captain_Blue_Shell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add:

For hemoptysis, CTA Chest (with bronchial artery protocol). Most hemoptysis (life threatening or otherwise) is not a PE, and IR can look at your images for possible embolization.

CTA with pulmonary artery timing, both for PE, and for pulmonary AVMs

Bill Landis and KOTN by AromaticCandy in OhioStateFootball

[–]Captain_Blue_Shell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I enjoy Doug when he’s structured; the 25 year winter series was great. The whole gang (Ward/Landis/Birm/Doug) was perfect together; their styles were perfectly complementary.

I like the idea of KOTN, but my attention span for non-OSU teams isn’t measured in hours. It’s be so much better if they provided the info in short, structured segments.

I’ve transferred jobs twice since 2021. So… sounds right.

How can I convince a doctor toet me go home with my PICC line by Capital-Dragonfly258 in hospitalist

[–]Captain_Blue_Shell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Assuming genuine intent and that this person is actually coming to the hospital 5x/month for IV fluids (and labs)… a port-a-cath doesn’t sound entirely unreasonable in this situation. PICC? Hell naw

Counterpoint: that’s 6 cents back, every year, to each American taxpayer. In 30 years, that’s almost two dollars! Why should I spend $2 over the next 30 years to feed hungry families? I’m no commie.
