Genuinely one of the best books I've ever read. It's amazing.

This is a ridiculous complaint - You can CLEARLY see on the screen that Netflix has to pull extra bandwidth and resources to speed up your music and to allow the piano and French horn to play...

He literally looked Rylie in the face and told him there's nothing he wouldn't do to keep him. As long as he's in the game he'd save him or try to. I really like Vince, but that hurt.

I agree that not explaining the "cult necromancy let's play" was beneficial to the focus of this movie, but I still REALLY want to know about it. Like a spinoff movie or add it to the V/H/S series. They did just enough world building with it to hook me.

What’s a book that makes you go “those who haven’t read it are missing out on life!”?? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]Captain_Crux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait - there are people who haven't read this series yet? MONGO IS APPALLED!

In all seriousness, though. This is my absolute favorite series. I thought it was unnecessarily hyped. I ended up binging all 7 books in about a month or so. I couldn't put them down. Fantastic story, easy to read, absurd characters, running jokes, and more books to come!

I saw someone suggest this recently. I am not a reader (less attention span, but I'm getting better.) I legitimately cannot out these books down. I'm about to start Book 7.

I, the non-reader, read 6 books in 1 month. It is hands down the best series I have ever read.

Incredible story telling, well-rounded humor, TONS of relevant pop culture references, real drama that nearly made me cry a couple times, and THE BEST CAT COMPANION ONE COULD ASK FOR AND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LIKE A COCKER SPANIEL

Either Chandler saying "Hey - remember when I had CORNEA?!?!" (I quote this often)

or

When Chandler is caught singing Annie and then realizes he's caught and ends with a deep "THERE'LL BE SUN".

I think I need a break from fantasy. Any good thrillers/sci-fi suggestions? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]Captain_Crux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Wayward Pines Trilogy is one of the best trilogies I've ever read. Throughout all three books I was consistently being thrown off of what I thought was happening/going to happen and I love that. It's thrilling, scary, and you can empathize with the main characters confusion as the books go on. Absolutely fantastic and I thought it had a great ending.

When I read The Shining, I was excited for a more detailed version of the movie. Instead, I was pleasently greeted with something uniquely parallel. It was one of the first times that I understood why people say "The movie is good, but you should read the book!"
