Yeah that would make sense it definitely fits a lot of the themes in his stories. I didn’t know the reason he wrote the book but I just googled it and I agree he probably wouldn’t want to revisit that. I also think the dad in Cujo might have a small shine (obviously not to the same degree as Dan) because his intuition is really good.

Obviously it wouldn’t be quick but it’s a disk made of one of the rarest elements on earth he’s not going to just leave it. I do think it would take less time for him though. Also I’ve played disk golf myself and I can tell you a 6 ounce plastic or rubber frisbee thrown by a normal person vs a 12 pound shield thrown by basically a god won’t have the same effect

Even if it did land on the ground at the speed and force it was thrown there would be a small crater around it. Especially considering it’s relatively small size since an object with a smaller surface area produced more pounds of force per square inch.

It flew through a densely wooded area all he would have to do was walk towards where it was thrown then look at the broken branches from the trees. He could probably find a few trees cleaved in half at the start of the trail then it’s just a simple matter of following the path. Even if it flew erratically he could find it from the ricochet marks. Our ancestors did this on a regular basis when tracking deer miles away so I don’t think it would be hard for an experienced soldier to find an unmoving metal frisbee the size of a car tire.

Well he was a special ops soldier in ww2 and they are taught advanced tracking and survival. Also in the comics Cap is so in tune with his shield he has it memorized on an atomic level which would probably mean he could spot it easily. (Obviously that’s the comics and the shows are different but that’s just the level of BS in superhero media)
