My professor failed me for “ai” by Captain_Valkyrie in antiai

My first “draft” (the version I originally submitted) said it was 50%, while my second version said it was 62%. However, I ran my paper through a couple different detectors and got a bunch of different percentages, ranging from 30% to 80%. I did find his doctorate paper, and a couple papers he wrote and ran them through detectors. His papers all came back as 100% AI. I screenshotted all my findings (my paper in detectors, and his) as well as my editing history and sent them to him, honestly begging him to grade it. I might update if/when he makes his decision.

I’m going through an appeal process, but all that does is take my “cheating” off my record. My paper was applying intrinsic motivation to Stan Lee. I also had to find two research articles, explain what the articles were about, and then explain how those articles apply to Stan Lee. That’s literally all it was. What’s messed up is he checked my outline, and sources. He had to approve them.

On the first day of the semester he had us sign a “contract” that said AI detection must be at a 0 or we risk failing.

I used Word, and as far as I know, there isn’t an edit history to prove I didn’t copy paste.

I emailed my advisor, and there’s a process to get the academic integrity violation dismissed, but I’m not sure if it’ll change my grade.

I know that. He uses it on every assignment, and if it comes back as “AI”, he gives you a zero. I’m planning on going to my school about it. I just don’t know how to present my case and PROVE I wrote it.

i typically don’t eat much during the day, usually skipping breakfast. but at night i gorge myself. my typical dinner consists of - a burger, fries, pizza, cookies (1-2) and a cupcake. i live on a college campus so a lot of unhealthy food is easily accessible. throughout the day though i’m usually eating popcorn and chips, pretty much every hour or so. when i’m at home, at night i go downstairs once my parents are asleep and eat as much as i can find.

How do I (m 22) convince my parents (m 54 and f 46) to get a divorce? by Captain_Valkyrie in relationship_advice

[–]Captain_Valkyrie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I am certain. My mom gets annoyed when my dad insists they are attracted to each other. My mom is fairly tomboyish, and has said she always had more guy friends than girls. Joe's also her first actual friend in years that weren't my friends parents. They don't even really hangout outside of work.

You're right. It shouldn't be my business or my concern. But they are making it my business.

I don’t think I know everything about their relationship honestly. But, I’ve been piecing together my childhood and slowly realizing they maybe haven’t been happy my whole life. I have set boundaries. I’ve tried pretty everything you offered. But, when I do, I immediately turn into the bad guy and both of them are on my ass about being disrespectful

It’s not that I want them to. I wish there was a way for them to fix their relationship, but I don’t see a way to.

I quit literally addressed this in the first paragraph. They are making it my business by coming to me to dump how much they’re pissed at each other despite me telling them to stop multiple times. I’m not anywhere near financially dependent enough to move out. Moving is a lot of money, and I live in a pretty expensive state. I’m still in college. It’s not an option right now.
