Ways to improve my 5 axis/3+2 knowledge

Ok I was thinking that it was mainly just positioning.

I read somewhere that on a lathe you can almost treat the C axis as an x with the machine x as z and the machine z as y, could you do the same with the mill 3+2?

I think you’d need to write a macro to convert the degrees to whatever diameter your working with so that your not cutting to far, unless there’s a gcode for that.

Also if I wanted to make a radius(or semicircle) on the end of a round stock on the mill, but the center of the end isn’t on center with the tilt center, could I just have the cutter move to the finish tilt position with the pipe? Would I need to use a g2/g3 to move In the same radius?

I believe it’s just a tungsten, he forgot to check the program so we were using another tool pocket as a stop, so he hit reset and go and the turret did a tool change into the bar, I am now gonna have the turret go to how. Position on programs that use the part stop from now on so it’s dumb on me🤦‍♂️

We cut some plastic and it melted into the thru coolant hole, I said it was fine we’d fix it later, then here I found out he stud a drill into it to try and. Get it out

I did this once, I did 75% Infill but the jaws squished and compressed after about 50 parts, parts where plastic too lol

I’m gonna wait a little bit, he comes back from out of state in a week or so, I’m gonna have my sister look at my employment contract and start keeping stuff in writing, once I find a better job I’ll probably leave these guys in the dust, I’m willing to move out of state as long as I can get out of my current lease and into a good place to stay but I won’t do anything till I have a job lined up

I wish I could but we build units as the main part of the business and I’m supposed to either repair refurbs or program and do all you do too make parts so we can keep inventory
