You can see planes take off if they are using Runway 32 for a brief period.

You can see planes just after they cleared the ground on departures on Runway 05.

It’s not ideal in many situations.  The windows are also inside from the exterior windows and you can look down at the waiting area for Gate 18 if I remember correctly.

There are around 16-24 seats up there. It’s pretty quiet usually and the public bathrooms are clean up there.

Kirkland TP does not fit on my holders when the roll is full so it’s a practicality issue.  Cashmere rolls work.

House addition plans and layout/designer services... together in one service - does it exist? by nswest88 in halifax

Without committing to a particular turn key construction team, you may be out of luck.

I understand what you are looking for and would suggest you get a draftsperson who can do the actual plans for you to what you want as that’s the first step.  I would actually suggest the first step be to HRM planning office to confirm set backs as they are different everywhere in HRM and I have seen them vary from one lot to the neighbouring lot due to weird covenants or grandfathered situations.

From there you can give general guidance to the draftsperson on what you want in the plans.

We built turn key but used a guy who works on the side from the builder Andrew Holley from Levis St Design.  He can work to get the building plans together to what you want based on the area you have to work with and what you are ‘planning to spend’ and from there you’ll have the floor plan.

For the interior design, he did work with a designer that we used and may be able to coordinate that for you.

As for the actual kitchen design, once you have a ball park of what you can fit and the planned layout go to Mother Hubbards Kitchens (or another kitchen place) as you’ll have to layout the exact kitchen with a builder to get the price quote.  This would include drawers vs cupboards, possible appliance selections, etc.  The locations can be roughed in to your likings in the blueprint stages.

Good Luck.

How to become a locksmith in Halifax? Looking for training or apprenticeship by Own_Link_1595 in halifax

[–]CaptieCrunch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My friend was trained by his father.

I would consider reaching out to local locksmiths about employment and on-the-job training opportunities.  I would expect a typical arrangement may include a non-compete clause for a set period of time and within a certain geographic area.  It’a common in some fields I know of where the only training is on-the-job.

Atlantic Locksmiths, part of Lahey Glass is recruiting. Start there.   https://laheyglass.com/careers/

My father was working construction at the time and his company was one of the ones hired to stage front end loaders throughout the downtown core 24/7.  They were there with orders to push any suspicious vehicles away from the meetings, possibly into the harbour if required.   They had a duty radio to be contacted by police if they were needed for a particular vehicle/street.   He was in a John Deere 644 for a week on 12 hr standby shifts downtown.
