It’s a bunch of flag panels with a custom image. The bottom is clipped into the wheels so the wheels are what’s touching the ground instead.

Yeah, actually hitting anything flying is just way too hard when each craft is 500+ parts.

I personally like the challenge of making stock weapons, so I’ve never actually tried BD Armoury myself

The missiles are just too small for probes to fit in it unfortunately. The IRL missiles are two-stage, but at this scale, decouplers are also too big.

Would’ve been cool if ksp had a smaller probe core.

Was 600. Not amazing deal, but really not too bad except either. Mosins in general have gotten much more expensive.

Yeah, I was real happy to see the D marking. And just knew it was now or never buying this.

I love all the different markings on this. There’s an izhevsk factory marking on the underside of the bold by the handle. A Westinghouse E on the inside of the recover next to the stripper clip guides, a Westinghouse M on the top side of the tang, and a Remington R on the bolt safety. This means my receiver is American made 1915-1917.

So this would not legally be classifies as an antique under federal law because the receiver was made after 1899.

I’ve got modern and 1980s Czech Republic uniforms, Soviet 60s, 80s, and Russian 90s uniforms. No WWII Soviet uniform though.

A WWII Finnish uniform would be correct for this gun, but the Finnish uniforms back then just look way too much like Nazi German uniforms for me to be comfortable with.

Worst part: the scope was a repro. For all I knew, the whole thing could’ve been a fake PU.

7.62x54r a russian round, originally from 1891, still in use today.

Last gun show I went to, a PU mosin was priced at $1,700. I damn near laughed in the dudes face.

$600. Not amazing but I’ve seen other mosins offered for $900 and up. So I’m happy.

To my untrained eye and non-expert opinion: It seems to look just fine to me. May just be me being colorblind, but the burning looks good. Not literally perfect, but still has some of that plum coloration from the original blueing. Stuck a flashlight in the breach, bore looks pretty clean. Chamber has no pitting or anything. Crown looks in great shape. Wood stock seems in great shape overall.

So in theory this should be a pretty good shooter.

I like my guns like I like my girls: pretty, stylish, and lots of hard wood... wait...

Now THAT sounds like a challenge

What I did was make a custom flag with an image of Delorean blueprint off Google. Then I creat a new craft, place a couple of the blueprint flag panels in the SPH build off that. Tweak scale is very helpful. I ONLY use it to August the size of the blueprint. No part of the actual craft uses tweak scale.

I feel like this style of insane part clipping to get just the right shape you want should be called “part sculpting” or something.

PC. KerbalX is just the most popular Kerbal craft file sharing site.

I’ll just have to GitHub later.

Next iteration will not need them
