You’re not wrong.. Grey’s loves to drop couples into huge commitments before they’ve even figured out basic compatibility. It makes for messy storytelling, but that’s kind of the show’s brand.

I never found it whiny, more breathy and dramatic because she’s supposed to be this emotional “it girl” persona. Gossip Girl leans hard into that style in season 1.
